Chapter 48. For mom♡

I went back to school the next day. Went to all my classes and hung out with all my friends. I even made time for my buddy Blake. I feel like such a bad friend when it comes to him. I called him up and we talked about what's going on with us at home. I want him to move in here with us. His parents are beating the crap out of him. I told my mom and she told me to tell him that we would send him the money to come out here. He told me no, but I have him making plans to come out here when we graduate.

I get off the phone to see what everyone was up to. I picked up a bottle of water from the fridge and walk out to the living room. My mom was in laying down on the couch. I went and sat down next to her. I put my hand on her head and she felt awfully warm.

" Hey mom, are you okay? "

"Yeah, I got a list of stuff that I need picked up for the wedding this weekend would you be able to get it?"

"Yeah, I just have to go find Jase." I say getting my phone out.

"All the guys went out to help Will get everything set up." My mom says pulling the blanket around herself tighter.

"Ohhhh ok." I gave her a kiss on the cheek, then grabbed the list. I grabbed my keys and decided to call the girls. I got ahold of Natalie, Stacy, and Lauren. I tell them I'm on my way to pick them up. I get in the mountaineer and drive to Natalie ' s first.

Jase texts me while I was talking to Natalie, just to tell me that he's thinking of me. My mom is right about him. I pick up Stacy and Lauren. I then begin to proceed to tell them about what's going on this weekend to get them to help me get everything on my mom's list and help me put everything together. I also tell them about my mom being sick.

"So that's why you started hanging out with Chase!" Natalie says.

" Yeah kind of, I mean it's time to get over the whole thing anyways. It's not fair to Our parents and Nicky. " I tell them. We head to the mall and into a shop my mom has my dress set aside.

"Hi I'm here to pick up a dress for the Crawford wedding? " I ask the lady at the counter.

"Yes I have it right here." She turns and picks up a hanger with a bag over it. She hands me it over to me. "Anything else?"

"Is this my mom's wedding dress?"

"Yes and I believe your dress is packed with it." She says with a smile.

"Thank you for helping her." I tell the lady, wishing I was with her to help pick her stuff out. We leave and go to the rest stores of the stores.

"Hey I want to do something special for her, do you guys know anything that I could do to surprise her?" I ask the girls.

"Let's give her a bachelorettte party? " Natalie says getting all excited.

"Yeah that sounds like a great idea, the wedding is Sunday, I will call the country club and book the party room. Then Facebook her friends. " I said.

"I will book the country club for you, get the rest of the stuff in the stores while I'm on the phone. " Stacy says and walks out.

Natalie, Lauren, and I run around and pick up every thing on the list. We finish grabbing everything. We walk out to the truck and put it in the back.

"So do we have it?" I ask.

"Yup and I went over the food with them. How are we going to afford this?" Stacy asks.

"Let me call Will and ask him for it, I will work it off for him." I start to walk away and then turn around. "How much do I need?"

"Just ask for his credit card, we will all help you pay it back." Stacy says.

"Ok" I turn around and walk to the other side of the truck. I call Will and he agrees to it. He says that I'm going to owe him big time and he already has something planned out, so he's happy that I owe him. Kinda scared about that, but now we gotta head over to the church.

We get to the church and see the guys sitting in the pews. All four of them sitting together. Jase playing on his phone. Alex and Brody talking, Chase staring at nothing. As we walk up to them, Jase and Chase look up smiling at us. Natalie gives me a shove. Jase gets up and walks over to me.

"Hey thanks for helping out, it means a lot to me that you and Brody are helping. " I tell him and give him a kiss on his cheek. The rest of the guys get up and walk over.

"We don't mind. What are you guys doing here?"

"I'm here to pick up Will's credit card and we have a lot of shopping to do."

"I thought we got everything picked up." Alex says.

"I have no idea what you guys are doing. " I tell them.

"We have been collecting everything we need for the reception and ceremony." Chase says.

"Oh, well I've been getting the list my mom had and now were going to go get the stuff for her surprise on Friday. " I said.

Will comes out with the priest. They shake hands. Will heads over to us, smiling. He looks at us all and nods to us. We follow him out of the church. He grabs his water out of the truck.

"So, what are you guys going to do with my credit card? " Will asks.

"We're going to max it out." I tell him and wink.

"Well just be ready for tomorrow, I'm going to need you to stay home from school tomorrow. I have a big surprise for your mom that your going to help me with. " Will says while handing me his credit card.

I take his card and give him a hug. "Sounds good to me, I can just give all my school work to Brody to hand in."

"Im the best friend, I should probably go with you. " Brody says.

"No I'm the best friend. " Natalie says.

"Brody your my thunder buddy, you know that. That means we're lifers. We will probably be 100 and will still be living together, because that's how we roll. " I tell him and wrap my arm around him.

"Ha, thunder buddy beats whatever you are." Brody says to her. I just shake my head.

We go ahead and leave them. We head over to the country club. I pay them and then get back in the truck. I head to the photo lab. We start making collages of the pictures I took and what I found in my mom's room. I want my mom to have a great party knowing these might be her last.

I made her a cute little scrap book of her and Will. We then hit up the craft store. We picked out all these big heart vases for the tables. We got candles to go in them. We had pins made up with their faces on them. We made little Chinese take out boxes filled with candy, tied with a ribbon and hung the pin on it.

We brought all the stuff to Natalie's. We finished putting all the decorations together. Then I brought the Stacy home.

I pulled in to see Alex sitting on the porch. I walk up to him and sit down next to him. I look at him and sigh. I lean my head on his shoulder.

"A lot has happened in a short amount of time. " I say. I know I've been mad at him, but I'm over it. I realize it's not really his fault and with my mom being its probably bringing back memories of his parents before they died.

"I guess, really its just hard seeing you with Jase. Im now surrounded by it. I want you back, I don't want you with him. It's not that I don't like him. I've known Brody for years and now I know Jase. He's a decent guy. I just thought we were always going to be together. That you would always be ours. I want you to choose us again... I know better than to do what I did to you again... I know this is awkward hearing this after everything, but I still want and need you."

I lift my head off his shoulder and he turns to look at me. I finally look up at him and he leans in to kiss me...
