Chapter 59. The waiting..Chase's p.o.v.

We sat in the waiting room. Alex and Dylan finally calmed down. Dylan's friends showed up and they were sitting with us. It was hectic around us. People being rushed in. I'm tired of this. It's too much for one week.

I look up to see Anna and a little kid come in the hospital. She spots me and walks over. I'm wondering why they are here and how she found out. I start looking around her.

"He better not have come here. " I say finding my voice.

"She's his daughter. "

"I know what happened when she showed up at your house. They found her walking in the snow. She was crying and walking alone in the cold. He slapped her and threw her away like garbage. Her mother just died two days ago. We didn't know where she went. I have been so scared that she killed herself. And he throws her away because I fell in love with her." I say, every one looks over to me. I don't mention Alex.

"He's not here." Anna says quietly.

"You know I stopped our relationship because I didn't want her to lose her father. She fell apart the last time they talked. I saw her fall apart in my dad's arms. So I ended it so she could have her father back. You should of seen her, I didn't want to hurt her. She ran away. We finally get her to come back and her mom dies. She has no blood left. None.. What ever happens in that hospital room tonight, She belongs to me now. Do you understand? She belongs to me now." I finish. Alex puts his hand on my arm.

"I understand. " she says. "What happened to her? All I heard was that she was in the hospital here. Your dad called and I picked up the phone and listened in. Will went off on Ben."

"Some girl pushed her down a flight of stairs. We don't know anything else. Jase is calling again. " Alex says.

"Give me the phone. " I take the phone from Alex and walk away. I talk to Jase. I know he's freaking out. He had a hard time with leaving in the first place and now he's beating himself up for leaving. I've been so jealous of him. He got her when I let her go. I know how hard this is for him and he really is a great guy.

It was hard watching them together because the only person I could be mad at is myself. Jase found a flight and will be here in the morning with Brody.

I walk out to the waiting room. I sit down. We're all just waiting around. It's been three hours already. You think we would hear something by now. My cell rings and its my dad. I talk to him and he already caught a flight out here. He will be hear in a couple hours. Its one in the morning. I wonder if he pulled strings.

A nurse finally comes out. "Alex Crawford"

We all get up and walk over. You see her look at us all. She just nods. "I just want to tell you that they stopped the bleeding, that's good. She's in a coma, that's good. They put her in one. Her brain is swollen, that's bad. She's going to need surgery but can't until it goes down. They are moving her into a room. They want to watch her close and will have a surgeon on standby waiting to go. I just told your dad and he wants you guys to stay calm. I can't let you in her room. No one can go in her room until the doctor gives the okay. "

"How long will she be in a coma? " I ask.

"I want to say until her body says its okay. Since the Doctor put her in it. I can't give out more information. The doctor only told me so much. He is still with her. He said that she is strong that she's still here but keep praying. I can bring you to another waiting room?"

"Okay"

"Is there more coming?" She asks.

"Not for awhile. " I answer. We follow her back thru a hallway. We enter another waiting room, its quiet. The tv is on. We all take a seat. She comes back with a stack of blankets.
