Chapter 55. Finding Dani. .. Chase's pov

How awesome is this???? Who remembers who I picked out to be Chase. You got Alex pettyfer as Alex, Douglas Booth as Brody and Jase. But who is Chase? ;)

I woke up to Nicky's ass in my face. The little bugger was moving around. Damn my back hurts. Stupid couch bed. I get up and stretch. My back cracks and I start feeling a little better. I go in the kitchen and take some Tylenol. I look in the fridge and take the old meatloaf out. I sniff it and throw it in the microwave.

I walk back out into the Livingroom with my bottle of water. I look around, Dad and Dani are missing. Maybe she left with him. I go ahead and pour some water on Alex.

He jumps up screaming. I start laughing. Nicky looks up at us. He sees Alex and starts laughing too. Alex pulls his soaked shirt over his head swearing. I go back to the kitchen and make the meatloaf into three plates. I bring it out to them and sit in the recliner.

I look around again and start eating. I didn't realize how hungry I was. Nicky is sitting there pushing the food around. I look over to Alex and he's finished eating.

"Starving?" I say looking at him.

"Yeah. .. where's dad and Dani? " Alex asks looking around.

"Don't know. I just woke up. They can't have left to long ago." I say and finish my plate. "Nicky stop playing and eat. We should get showered and ready."

"Yeah. " Alex says getting up. I grab our plates as Nicky trys to eat it all in one bite. I clean up and hear ringing. I grab my phone and it's Dad.

"Hey what's up?"

"I can't get a hold of Dani, can you wake her up for me?"

"Umm let me look." I go into her bedroom and there's a note on her bed. "Dad she's gone. All it says is that she will be back Friday. "

"Okay call all your friends and hers. Get them all looking for her. She's hurting and I don't want her to get hurt or hurt herself. "

"You don't think she would actually hurt herself do you?" I ask getting worried. All I can see is her holding her mom before I took her off her mom.

"I dont know. I just know she was screaming to her mom to take her with her. She's not in the best frame of mind right now." Dad says and you can hear the panic in his voice.

"Should we call the cops?" I ask.

"No you have to wait twenty four hours."

"Im going to drop Nicky off to grandma's. Her phone is here." I say as I see her phone sitting on the dresser. I pick it up and see all the missed calls from Jase. I wonder if he knows what's going on. I see she's tried calling her dad and I read her texts. He isn't talking to her. Fucking prick.

"Dad, she's been trying to contact her father. .he's not answering. Maybe she went to Tyler or Natalie's to use their phone since he doesn't know their number. "

"That's actually smart. Okay I gotta finish up stuff here. Drop Nicky off and go find her. If you want to find out where her truck is, there's a GPS on it. Love ya. Call me as soon as you know something." He says and hangs up.

I call her friends and they don't know where she is. I call her grandparents and they know nothing. Everyone is going out looking. Alex comes upstairs all showered.

"Do me a favor and drop Nicky off at grandma's. I gotta shower and make a couple more phone calls. " I say and start calling Jase.

"Yeah I will be back." Alex says. I see him grab Nicky and pack a bag for him.

"Hey babe I'm sorry if your mad at me." Comes thru the phone and I realize he answered.

"Oh Jase.. no its me." I would of played with him if there wasn't a situation happening.

"Oh what are you doing with Dani's phone." He asks sounding annoyed.

"She left it behind before she took off, I was hoping you might of heard from her and know where she is heading? " I ask.

"No I haven't heard from her in two days. What's going on?"

"Her mother died Sunday. We spent all day in the hospital. Then came home and just zoned out. Its been a mess."

"Fuck. You gotta find her. I can't leave not until end of this week. At earliest."

"Why what's going on with you?"

" My nana died last night. That's why I haven't really been calling. I told her that my nana was admitted. I have the funeral to go to. We have to stay for the Will to be read to us. There doing that tomorrow. My mom's a basket case. She's been up my ass. Brody has been freaking out. I will change our flight to Saturday but you gotta find her. She doesn't make the best decisions when she is hurting. "

"Shit. Dude, I have been calling everyone."

"What about her father?"

"He's not answering her."

"Catch a flight to New York the address is on her phone. Get out there as fast as you can. Her dad is an asshole. Do this now, call me when the plane takes off. Im going to call the airport and see if she took off. I will text you but hurry up." Jase says and hangs up.

I go get in the shower. Fastest shower ever. I go down stairs and pack a bag for Alex and me. I text my dad that I'm going to New York. Jase sends me a text that Dani's flight already took off. Alex walks thru the door. I throw his bag to him. I text Jase that Alex and I were heading to the airport.

We get in the truck and start driving to the airport. I look down and its a text from Jase. He got us tickets for the next flight out. We have thirty minutes to catch our flight. Shit I hope we have enough time to get thru security.

We pull in the parking lot. We run to the front desk and get our tickets. We run to security and yank our shoes off running. I throw all my stuff in the plastic tote. I walk thru the metal detector and put my shoes back on. I look at the time. We have ten minutes to reach the terminal.

"Come on Alex lets go. We got a princess to save." I tell him as we take off running.
