Chapter Five

Ding ! Ding !

" Mindi , someone texted you," Taiis said peeking at the phone on the table.

Before she could she see anything , Mindi swiped her phone out of her sight.

" Uh?" Taiis pouted .

" Stop minding other people's business Taiis," Hailey said.

" But s—,"

" No buts,"

Mindi on the other hand was reading a text from her boyfriend Miguel.

Miguel: You want to go out tonight?

Mindi: Sure.

Miguel : Kk , I will pick u up at 6.

"What your boyfriend said?" Taiis asked.

" How u know it's him?"

" Because I was reading your text and I saw you playing with the necklace he gave you ," she replied with a flat look like it was really obvious.

It was nearly a year since Mindi and Miguel has been together.

Their relationship has been really stable and they seem to have a strong bond.

The necklace was a birthday present from Miguel.

It had a silver chain and an infinite sign .

" Let, me guess, you going on a date ," Hailey asked.

" Yeah........,"

" Awww , how sweet, I wish I had a relationship like yours ," Hailey gushed .

" Child, you need to focus on your work more than boys," Nadia said.

" Yes Hailey, listen to Nadia," Taiis said.

Hailey rolled her eyes at the girl and went back to watching tv.

" I want coffee," Taiis said all of a sudden .

" I can go to down to Starbucks and get us some drinks and pastries if you want ?" Mindi suggested.

" Please do so ,"Taiis begged.

Mindi exited the elevator as soon as the door opened.

"Okay, Taiis wants a cherry blossom latte  , Hailey wants a midnight mocha frappuccino , Kewen wants a green tea frappuccino, Nadia wants a orange and dark mocha and I want a iced oatmeal latte ," Mindi said to herself.

Since Starbucks was down the road, she decided to walk.

Dry sticks and leaves cracked on the concrete floor as her converse shoes stepped on the them.

The air was a bit humid since it rained the night before.

Luckily the sun was out drying the puddles of rain .

The leaves rustled softly as a gentle breeze blew .

Birds chirped happily as they perched on the tree branches.

Mindi smiled softly enjoying her surrounding.

She was in a really good mood by the time she reached Starbucks.

She was about to cross the road when she notice a familiar figure in the cafe.

For some reason it was a boy .

But not any boy.

He was a really cute boy.

And he looked like............. her boyfriend?!
