I have a plan and I'll let you in on it. First, before I begin to tell you, you must first understand from the very beginning.

First of all, one must know how much passion I have for learning. That's how it all began. Because of my love for learning new things, I felt the need to go to Riverwood High School. Currently, I am attending a public charter high school in Florida called Southview. It isn't as bad as the other public school out here but it was definitely better than going to the private ones. As much as I like school, it did not mean I was okay schooling with preppy school girls on their high horses. Both my brothers and I weren't the type that walked around the street showing off our affluence.

Southview was the best choice for us in Florida. It was the best for me until I heard of Riverwood High School. Was I desperate in getting the best education I could get? Most definitely.

"Jack is checking you out again," my friend whispered to my ear. I looked over to Jack's direction, unsurprisingly, he was. It's disturbing having people stare at you. It has been the story of my life ever since I was about eight years old, the beginning of what came to be my freedom being stripped away.

"Shush, Kevin is going to hear you, and you know how much he hates Jack," I told Kayla. I turned to face Kevin who was sitting next to me, talking to the jocks that were sitting with us. And if jock hasn't explained it yet, we were sitting in the popular table and I was dating the hottest guy in school. How cliché, isn't it?

"Right. So, anyways....." Kayla trailed off, still whispering. "I just can't believe that you would throw away your perfect life just for some school."

I rolled my eyes at her, eating fries from my plate. Perfect life, she says. She may have been my childhood best friend but she knows little of what I think of my life. That's because I barely open up to her, which is very hard for me.

"You have a perfect life. Don't deny it. You live in a mansion. Your mom and dad are the richest people I know," Kayla stated.

"It's not perfect unless I said so," I told her. A lot of people see my life as perfect, but in reality, it is definitely not close to perfection. Nobody is perfect. Nothing is perfect.

"It is. You're dating the cutest guy in school and you're the Queen Bee here," Kayla said, gazing up to Kevin.

"Please don't call me that. You know how much I hate it," I frowned at her.

"What? Queen Bee? Well, I can't lie and call you a geek, even though you are one."

"Geek?" I arched my eyebrows.

"Yeah, I would call you a geek because you are but you don't look like one."

"Wow. I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or an offense," I shrugged then leaned back to my seat. Kayla grinned at me then sipped from her cup.

"Come on. Don't leave me!" Kayla half whispered. "Kevin won't let you also."

"Chill, Kayla. I don't even know if I got accepted yet," I told her. I'm still waiting for their answer. I sent an email to them 4 days ago.

And like I said before, Riverwood is an awesome school. They only accept transfers whose GPA is above 3.8 on a 4.0 unweighted scale. Their standards are higher than Southview. If I get accepted, it'll be one of my dreams come true.

"You will. That's why I'm begging you to please don't go," Kayla whined and tried to strangle my left arm.

"What the heck," I laughed at Kayla. She is crazy. She's great but she can be a little crazy at times, like right now.
