Lily's POV
I just got here 2 days ago and I already bumped head to someone I knew, technically it was Mason. It was a good thing that it was my very own best friend, Karla.
I wanted to tell Landon as soon as possible but Maddy texted that he had to do some errands, first. Maddy and Bridget just woke up from their nap when I knocked on Maddy's hotel room. I couldn't wait till they meet her. Of course, we hadn't had the chance to catch up so for now she had to pretend like I was a stranger to her.
"Lily!" Maddy opened the door, hair messed up and her eyes squinted from the hallway light. "And?" she turns to Karla.
"Karla. Nice to meet you." Karla smiled, waving.
"Uh, come in." Maddy opened the door wide so we can enter. When we got in, the lights inside were all dimmed down.
"Lily, is that you?" I heard Bridget's voice. I know she's somewhere under Maddy's covers.
"Yes." I said.
"Why, Lily?! Why?! Can't you give us time to sleep?!" Bridget whined, voice muffled under the covers.
"Sure, even though you just had 2 hours of nap." I said, sarcastically.
"What?! We slept that long?!" Bridget's head suddenly pops out. I knew they would hate me for this but I really want them to meet Kayla. So, I walked to the light switch and turned the lights up.
"Ugh! Lily!" Maddy groaned and jumped user the covers. "Turn it off!!! It burns!"
"Why do you hate me so much?!" Bridget whined.
"Get out of the covers. I want you to meet my friend, Karla." I said.
"Who's Karla?" Maddy asked.
"The girl with me." I answered.
"Is she an old friend?" Bridget asked next.
"No." I lied. "But, she knows Lilian Crawford." I chimed. Bridget jumped out of bed and rushed to where we stood. Karla gave me a weird look. Knowing her for years, that look meant she was weirded-out with my friends.
"You know Lilian Crawford?" Bridget said amazed. Maddy pulled the covers and looked at me. As Bridget and Karla were distracted, Maddy mouthed me questions and I mouthed back 'I'll explain later. Just play along.'
"Yeah, she's actually my best friend." Karla smiled.
"OMG! Is she nice? How tall is she? Is she taller or shorter than you? How do we know you're not lying?" Bridget blurted too fast.
"Yes, she's very nice. We're almost the same height and this is a picture of us, together." I couldn't believe Karla was capable of answering her that fast. I mean it would take me like a minute to comprehend what Bridget just said. I turned to see which picture she was showing Bridget on her phone.
She scrolled down to her photos and showed the last Selfie we took together. It was when we planned that party for my escape. I was about to take my fourth shot, on my hand, while she kissed me on my cheek and I did the 'fish face.'
"Aww. She looks adorable." Bridget smirked. Bridget took her phone and went through her photos. Lucky, Karla put it in an app so she can only see some photos. The other photos needed a passcode.
While Bridget is paying less attention to Kayla, Maddy pulled her and sat her on bed. "So, Karla, have any boyfriend?" Maddy asked. I gasped. I wanted to know too. I didn't have any contacts with her so I didn't know anything that happened ever since I left.
