I adapted to it, but thank whoever that Mason finally decided to give me a break . . . well, IN CLASS, that is, and only in class. He still keeps bothering me during lunch time. It's okay, though, because I don't need to worry about failing class. All I need to worry about is failing lunch time. Whoo! I'm failing lunch and when I said that I meant not eating properly so I have to wait later after school. There is seriously something wrong with that guy.
"Come on Lily! You've been here for almost 2 months now. You have got to go mountain climbing with us," whined Bridget. I am not really an outdoors person. The only sport I play is soccer and cheerleading if it's even a sport. "Please. If you don't, then I'll be the only girl."
"How come?" I asked.
"They don't invite sluts and so I always have to suffer being the only girl."
"Why do you go if you don't like being the only girl then?" I asked.
"Because I like skiing down slopes," she said with a serious face. I seriously don't like mountains. I have had some bad experience but if Bridget is willingly begging me with her pouty face then I guess I shall.
"Fine," I sighed in defeat. Bridget started to cheer up." But I'm not skiing. Only accompanying you."
I continued to eat my lunch with a happy mood because the asshole was not here to bother me. I hate it when he is around because I get cold stares from the other girls, especially Lindsay. It's been a week since I bumped into her again and I had to pretend that I was a very sorry geek.
"Ms. Crawford," I heard the speakers say. Me?
Uh duh! Who else?
"Ms. Crawford," the lady repeated through the speaker. Oh gosh, everyone's eyes were on me. "Ms. Lily Crawford, please come to the main office."
I didn't know what I did wrong. I have never been called to go to the main office in my whole life besides receiving remarkable speeches from the principal how well my grades were. I don't know why it felt different when I was being called just now. It doesn't seem like the principal was going to talk to me.
"What did you do, now?" Bridget asked me when I got up from my seat. I shrugged and walked out the cafeteria.
I reached the office and found a figure of a guy. His back was facing me but his posture looked familiar. "Landon?" I said as I started to walk closer to him.
He turned around with a big smile in his face. "Here is your visiting pass. You may go," the lady said. She handed him a small piece of card. As soon as we walked out, I gave him a warm hug. I missed him so much.
"I miss you Lilian." He spoke, feeling his breath against the back of my neck. We pulled out and looked at each other with a big smile.
"What are you doing here? How are you? How are mom and dad? What's going on? Is there anything wrong? Is anyone hurt? What happened?" I said without pausing or breathing.
"Geez Sis. Calm down" he grinned then we started walking, leading him to my locker. "Is it a crime to visit my little sister?"
"What about school?" I asked. "And mom and dad?" I added before he can answer.
"You didn't hear? School was shut down because three of the lab rats from the science lab escaped. They're running around the school as we speak," he chuckled and I made a small smile. "They might be at the lunch room so we don't have school until further notice."
"Can't the student just bring their own lunch or go to McDonalds?" I asked. It's stupid for them to shut a school down just because of some stupid rats. Also, this was one of the reasons I knew I wouldn't get the right education I want; they shut the school with any reason they can come up with. The kids don't mind and the teachers, too, as they have no work if it's close.
