~Mason~
I stood in my room looking at myself on the mirror. I didn't look to check if my hair was fixed or if my tie was tied wrong, I didn't care, but I looked at my reflection and thought of how this night was going to be. I was having a day-mare.
I stared at myself. Will anything change after this night?
My phone buzzed on top of my dresser. It took me a second to pick it up. Am I ready to see her?
"Hello?" I finally answered.
"Mase, where are you?" I heard my little brother's voice.
"Sorry, I'm still at home, but I'll be there soon." I said to him.
"Alright-Oh Maddy wants to talk to you. Don't hang up." He informed me.
"Mason." I heard my sisters voice, next. "I don't know if tonight will end right or turn out bad but I want you to remember that I will always be there for you. Me and Mark."she said. I nodded even though I knew she couldn't see me. "A word of advice. When you feel like you're going to blow up into hell, just think of Lily." she informed.
"Lily?" I asked.
"Yes, speaking of Lily. What if she comes to dinner with us?" she suggested.
"No!" I automatically snapped. "It's a bad idea, Mads. I don't want her having more problems. Isn't meeting dad, enough?" I questioned.
"I know but what if this is a good thing? For you?" she asked.
"What about me?"
"What if Lily comes to calm you down and make the night turn out right? Without the riot?" she said.
"Maddy, it's a bad idea."
"Oh come on! Mason, you need her by your side." she said. "Hold up, I'm having another call here." Pause. "Speaking of Lily, it's her now. I'm going to ask her, okay?" she said it too fast, I didn't get to respond and talk her out of it. She hung up. Shit.
I have a feeling, inviting Lily to dinner with my mom, is a really bad idea. I grabbed my keys and phone from the table and drove down to pick up Mark and Maddy. My dad knows that she is here and he doesn't want to deal with her. He doesn't want to get involve in anything that relates to my mom anymore.
He was just pissed that we are going to have a dinner with her. He didn't want any of us to ever talk to her again. I promised to myself that I would never let her back to my life.
Tonight, I'm hoping that we'll make a compromise that she will leave us alone and forget that she ever had us as her children.
I drove off the driveway and headed for Maddy and Mark. I had better not wait for them. I don't like waiting. They should be ready. Even though they called me that they're ready, I know Maddy. She changes her outfit at the last minute.
"Where's Mads?" I asked Mark as he hopped in my car.
He shrugs. "I don't know. She said she just had to pick up something because she knows that you wouldn't stop for it." Oh Gosh.
"Did she just leave?" I asked because I didn't want to have my car parked in this place for a long time.
"She left half an hour ago, right after you talked to her on the phone then she called someone else." he said as he checked his face on my rear view mirror. I set the mirror back where it's suppose be when he was finish.
I finally saw her car pull over after 10 minutes. 10 minutes has been the longest 10 minutes in my life. When she opened her door, the passenger door opened also, out came Lily. Did she really force her?
