Mason's POV
After a day well spent with Lily, it was back to serious business. School.
Even though I am Mason Parker, I am still worried about school. It's my path to success. In able to rise up and show my parents that I don't need them, education is important. In able for me to pull my siblings from that miserable place, I must provide them a home of my own and their needs. The only way is school.
I had to copy off from some students' note. It wasn't that much. I only missed 3 core classes. The others were just not that important.
Before I forget to mention, my cousin is here. He finally came back to school after that 5 month vacation. He asked me to tag along with him but I passed.
"So, where is this cousin you're telling me about this morning?" Lily asked me as we were seated at the lunchroom.
"Wait, he's back?" Ron snapped. "Since when?"
"Just this morning. He called me up yesterday." I answered. Moving on....I couldn't stop fancying about Lily today. She isn't wearing her glasses today like yesterday which make her even more attractive.
Her natural flaw is just remarkably outstanding. Girls should be more like her. Show their natural features. They shouldn't hide it with those clown make-ups.
"Look who's back?" I heard a familiar voice. Our table all turned around to face my cousin from my mom's side of the family. He walks over to the table and pulls a chair in between me and Lily. "What's up bro?" he patted my back. He fist bumped the guys and before taking a seat, he gave the girls a hug.
When he finally sat down, he turned to Lily. "And who may this lovely lady be?" he asked. "Anyone going to introduce us?" he turned to all of us.
"This is Lily. Lily, this is Jake." Maddy introduced them.
"Well, hi Lily. Nice to meet you. I'm Jacob Fell." he greeted then they shook hands. What got my attention was Jake kissing Lily's hand.
"Wow, I didn't know the Parkers were related to a charmer." Lily giggled. I was jealous. Everyone's attention were both on Jake and Lily. Obviously, Jake was flirting with her.
I would have interrupt him there but I didn't want to be rude. He is my cousin and there isn't way I would beat him up just because he is flirting with the girl I really like.
"So, you single?" he asked her. Oh no! There goes his catch phrase. "Because if you are I will be lovely to be the other single. We would make a perfect sandwich." I don't know why but girls find that attracting. He gets every girl with those phrases. I just hope it won't work on Lily.
She giggles. She giggles! Why doesn't she giggle often when I talk to her? "Well, Mr. Fell, I am reserved." she answered which, I think, put me in a trauma. She just said that?! I guess everyone else at the table were surprise as I am.
Lily just kind of admitted that I have a chance with her. I am so happy right now. My inside is jumping up and down but I kept my cool with a smirked on my face.
"Reserved to who? Huh?" he questioned her. The inner me is hoping she will say my name. "Or are you just saying that because you don't want this?" he gestured over to his upper body.
Lily grinned with a raised brow. "And that wasn't a surprise. Cocky like Mason." she said. I coughed intentionally.
"I am not cocky. I am just confident over myself, for your information." I add. She rolls her eyes and that smile was still on her pretty face.
"She is reserved to Mason, by the way." Maddy added in. Thank you, Mads. I hope Lily won't take back what she said.
Jake raised both his hand as a sign of defeat. "I knew it. Mason." he turned to me. "Don't worry. I won't tap that. She is all yours." he said.
