Kayla hung out with us for our whole vacation trip in Florida. I gave her a number to contact me if we wanted to talk. Her and Ryan got along pretty fast. It's so disgusting to say that they got along because they were both horny.
Kayla had something going on her mind and she needed Ryan to get it off. When Ryan saw her, he automatically liked her. It's a win-win situation.
I had second thoughts about leaving Florida. I wanted to stay because I missed the place and because I wanted to be there for my friend. She has gone through a lot. Apparently, she just found out that her dad is married to another woman. Her mom knew about it but didn't bother to tell her. Kayla didn't even know that her parents were divorced. I needed to be there for her. She needs a friend most.
I'm just happy to be there for at least a short while as a friend. I'm such a bad friend for not being there for her when she needed me the most. While I was spending most of my time with Kayla and the girls throughout the trip, Mason was giving me the cold shoulders. He would only greet me a 'good-morning' when we are in the room. He would always face his back at me when we were about to sleep. He didn't even give me a single kiss ever since.
Landon still had to stay back but he said he'll visit once in a while. The longer I stay in Colorado, the more it's hard for me to leave. I don't even know when I should leave. I like staying here. Everything seems so perfect but nothing is forever. Sooner or later, my mom will find me. I can't hide forever.
I was home, unpacking my things after I have gave Sonia, Sarah, and T the souvenirs I got for them from a small shop in Florida. As I was unpacking, I noticed that a small silver rectangular box was hidden under all my clothes. I was sure I opened everyone's present given to me.
Maddy got me a pair of boots and Bridget got me earmuffs. I guess they had difficulty looking for them in Florida. Ryan got me a teddy bear, Mark got me a new phone case, and Jacob got me a small purse. Landon, on the other hand, gave me bonus for my allowance. It's like he's my father. Mason bought me a pair of flat shoes and Ron got me a designer scarf. Karla got me a new pendant to add to our friendship bracelet. So, I don't know who this box was from.
I didn't want to open it because it may not have belonged to me. Maybe it just got misplace by the others. It might be for Bridget from Ron.
When I finally finished unpacking, crawled unto my bed and gave myself a nice long sleep. The trip was fun but it was exhausting. It was still worth it.
I woke up the next morning to the smell
of bacon and eggs. I got downstairs and I found my dad in the kitchen."Dad?"
"Oh, good morning, sweetheart." he turns around, setting the coffee mug on the island table. "I've missed you so much." he gives me a hug and I hug him back. I sat down next to him, joining him as we ate breakfast.
"I missed you too, dad. I'm sorry I didn't have time to stop by at your shop. I didn't want to take a risk." I said.
"That's fine, sweetie. I'm just glad I'm here to give you......" he trailed as he stood up, getting something from his luggage. ".....this." he handed me a batman keychain with a car key attached to it.
"Dad, you didn't have to. I already have a couple of cars from you. But thank you." I said, giving him a hug. I knew that batman keychain meant that the it was like the bat-mobile from the movie except its more realistic.
"Well, I got you that and one last one." he said. He pulled out something from his pocket and handed it to me. I opened the small box. Inside was another pendant to add on my bracelet. I'm not talking about the friendship bracelet I have with Bridget. I was talking about a bracelet for me and my dad. He and I had this tradition. It's that we would get a star pendant from different cities. Inside the box was 7 star pendant. While he gave me star pendants, I had give him moon pendants.
