I sat on one seat in the classroom. I was early for class, like always. I set my bag down and looked at the board just examining the written notes on the board.

"What are you doing?" asked Mason who was standing by the door.

"Getting ready for class," I replied coolly, not even turning back to see him. I took out my notebook and pen.

"Class doesn't start in half an hour," Mason teased then I heard footsteps coming towards me. "What you say we have fun for now? We're the only one here," Mason said who was next to me right now.

"Gross. I think I will pass," I exclaimed. I looked to face him and he was smirking with his gorgeous eyes. I kind of have a thing for guys with green eyes but this guy won't break me down, though.

"Are you sure?" Mason grinned. He laughs and plays with my hair.

"Don't touch me," I said and slapped his hands away. I frowned at him and then grabbed my bag from the floor and walked to the desk two rows away from him.

"Feisty. Makes me want you even more," he says.

"Can you please stop flirting with me?" I demanded. He stands and walks over to where I sat. "And stop following me!"

"Crawford. Hm," Mason said, furrowing his brows at my pen's label. "You're a Crawford?"

Who even writes their name on their school supplies nowadays? That would be me.

"I guess," I said.

"Are you related to the owner of Crawford Motors? The ones that makes cars?" Mason asked.

Shit! I was really hoping this won't happen.

"You must be really rich," Mason added.

I shook my head and hesitated. "No, just the same last name but no connections at all."

"Okay. Anyways, if you were then you would have fancy clothes and have a car," Mason said. This dude was seriously getting on my nerves. First, he shamelessly flirts with me and now, he's judging me.

"A car? I have a car," I said.

"Whatever," he says. "Let's go get breakfast," he suggested afterwards.

"I don't want to be late for class. So, no thanks," I said. I really tried everything I could to get rid of him.

"You are such a geek," Mason said.

I stopped replying and just sunk in my seat. After a while, he left me alone. Thank goodness. A couple of minutes later, the bell rang and students started to flood in the classroom. I have Arts and Design for first period.

It was one of the reasons why I fell in love with Riverwood High once I heard about them from my cousins. It is a private college preparatory high school that didn't mandated for kids to wear school uniforms like the others. The population of the kids in Riverwood is like a quarter of the population of Southview High because they only accept students with a high GPA and good records in their past schools.

There are many classes to choose from that most high schools don't have. It even provides courses that you can only find in colleges. I'm taking Arts and Design because I, too, like designing things like my mom. I'm taking Mechanics and Engineering as well because of my dad.

But don't get me wrong. I want to take all these classes because I am interested in cars just like my dad and designing just like my mom but designing on shoes and not dresses. None of them forced me to want these, it's me. I am willing to learn about cars and more about designing because I want to, not because they are making me. That's the only privilege I have. Everything else, they govern. I didn't mind at first until I got interested into so many things.
