"What is going on here?" Adele asks confused as she walks in to Laura and the manager from the apartment building she lives at, arguing.

"You are three months behind on your rent Ms. Adele, over 2,000," Madeline explains.

"2,000?" she asks concerned looking over at Laura.

"A couple over that," Madeline says correcting her.

"Right, can I have a quick talk with Laura," she says, "In private," she adds.

"Sure, I'll stand outside," she says before opening the front door.

"Laura? Three months? I thought we had paid those bills already!" she said as calmly as she could.

"We have electricity to pay, gas to pay, water pay, our phone bills to pay, your college to pay, Adele the money we make is bit enough at the moment," Laura explains.

"Why am I just fining out about this? Don't I have the right to know? I live here and pay my fair share to live here, don't I?" Adele asked.

"I didn't want to stress you out more than you already were, please just understand," Laura explained as she sighed.

"Laura you should have known better," she sighed.

"I know and I'm sorry, but my book sales have been going down rapidly, I don't know why, I haven't been making much," Laura says.

"We'll think of something, tell Madeleine to give us a week for the money," Adele says as she sits on the sofa.

"Alright," Laura says squeezing her friends shoulder giving her a tight lip smile.

Adele grabbed the TV remote thinking of a way that she was going to get the money she needed. Suddenly and idea came to mind and she waiting for Laura to come back and sit next to her.

"How are—" Laura said before Adele abruptly cuts her off.

"Laura I think I have an idea, it might be bad but I think if it works out it would totally be worth it," she explained.

"Don't tell me we're becoming stripers or becoming drug dealers," Laura says jokingly.

"No! You'll find out soon," she winked laughing.

***
"Wow where are you going?" Laura asked as she saw Adele walk into the kitchen wearing a red wine colored dress.

"I'm going out tonight," she said as she took Laura's glass of wine and took a sip before handing it back leaving behind a lipstick stain.

As she out the glass down the doorbell rang.

"That must be him," she smiled.

Laura ran out of the kitchen and opened the door where she opened the door to a man holding a bouquet of dark red roses.

"Hello, is Adele here," he asked as his grip on the roses tightened a little more.

"I'll go get her, and by the way I'm not going to steal the roses so there's no need to squeeze them as hard as you are right now," Laura said as she eyes the roses.

He stayed quiet but he grip on the roses loosened and Laura rolled her eyes before shutting the door.

"Really?" Laura asked as Adele smirked at her.

"Yeah," she smiled slightly.

"I thought you didn't exactly like him," Laura said.

"He's got what we need," she shrugged.

"No you—," Laura said almost in a whisper.

"Yes Laura, the money."
