Chapter 28

"I hate it when you're sick," Simon sighed as Adele wiped her mouth.

"I'm fine, it's just the morning sickness, that isn't just in the morning," she jokingly said trying to lighten the mood before she threw up again.

"If it's not just in the morning, why is it called morning sickness?" he asked curiously as she smiled at his confused expression before giggling.

"I don't know babe, maybe you should google it," she said as she stood up and washed her mouth.

"Maybe I will," he said.

"You should," she replied.

"I will," he said.

"Do it then," she laughed.

"I will right now after you go back to bed," he said.

"Well that's too bad, I'm going to the office right now," she winked as she walked into their bedroom and opened the closet.

"Adele, I'm serious, you can't be doing this," he sighed.

"It's fine, I promise, I won't be out long," she smiled sympathetically.

"It's not about me not wanting you to stay out long, it's just that I don't want you to stress out about anything, especially our baby being stressed out just gets me really nervous," he said as rested his right hand on her cheek gently rubbing circles on it.

"Would you like to go with me?" she asked.

"Sure, if you'd like me to," he shrugged.

"Oh of course I'd like you to," she giggled.

"Will I scare your coworkers?" he asked.

"Why would they get scared of you, you idiot," she laughed.

"Because I look like an ogre who hasn't slept in 5 years," he said causing her to laugh.

"You look fine, way better than I do, then maybe after get out of there we can go get your beard trimmed, it's kind of messy," she said as she grabbed her purse.

"Oh baby, you look absolutely stunning, do not ever say I look better than you," he said as they walked down the stairs.

"It's true I look awful," she laughed.

"No you don't, you look as beautiful as always, and today even more beautiful," he said as he kissed her cheek causing her to giggle.

They got into the car before Simon drove them to Adele's office.

"Oh, it's quite busy today," she said as her heels clicked omg he ground with every step she took.

"Adele, how many times have I told you not to wear heels, you're going to hurt yourself," Simon said.

"Simon they're fine," she sighed.

"You trip and fall then what happens?" he asked.

"That's not going to happen so stop being so paranoid Simon," she reassured him as she opened the door to walk in.

"Adele?" the receptionist said as she got up and went to hug Adele.

"Hey Liz, how's everything?" she asked.

"Oh my god you're pregnant, when did you find out, how did I not know," Liz said as Adele laughed.

"Oh Liz," Adele said playfully rolling her eyes.

"Is this your man? Hi I'm Lizette but everyone calls me Liz," she said to Simon as Adele smiled at him.

"Simon Konecki," he said completely changing from his nice guy attitude to his what Adele called 'I'm the boss' attitude.

"Oh, what's up Simon," she said.

"We came to drop of some papers, is Josh waiting for Adele already?" she asked.

"Right I forgot, yeah he's waiting for you Adele, I'll see you guys around," Liz said before the couple walked to Josh's office.

"Why are you so rude, she was being nice to you and you always have to be a bitch to everyone," she said.

"I wasn't being rude," he shrugged.

"Yes you were Simon, I don't want to talk you right now, I'm mad," she said.

"Why?" he asked as she ignored him.

She knocked on Josh's office before entering.

"Good afternoon ms. Adkins, I've been waiting for you," he said.

"Hey Josh, I finally got the files you had me revise, they're all ready to go," she said.

"Oh that's amazing, you are amazing, thank you Adele," he smiled as he put the files away.

"Thank you Josh, but that's all I had for you today, I'll have the others done on Monday," she said.

"Oh that's fine, thank you for coming in today,it was great seeing you, have a great day," he said.

"Thank you Josh, you too," she said as she walked out of the door and into the room across his office.

"Hey," Simon said.

"No, I shouldn't have brought you," she said as she stopped to look at him before swiftly turning back around.

"I'm sorry," he said.

"Simon you always say that you're sorry but yet you do it again, what did Liz fucking do to you for you to be with that bad ass attitude of your's? Just go home, I'll be there in a couple of hours," she sighed before slamming the door shut.

She finished up some paper work before turning it into Josh.

"I really appreciate the fact that you're pregnant and your husband is a multi millionaire and you're still coming to work for me," Josh said in disbelief laughing as he gave Adele a quick hug.

"It's my pleasure Josh, I look forward to doing something everyday, I can't just not be doing something, thank you so much," she smiled.

"Is someone going to pick you up?" he asked.

"I'm not sure, I got into an argument with Simon earlier, and he also isn't picking up my calls," she sighed.

"Do you need a lift? I'd be happy to take you," he offered.

"Of course, thank you Josh," she giggled.

"No problem, plus I was headed toward you house to go pick up my daughter," he said.

"Right," she replied as they walked out to the car.

"How's the pregnancy been so far?" he asked as he started the car.

"It's been amazing, it's had its ups and downs but it's great," she smiled.

"Simon's very supportive isn't he?" Josh asked.

"Yeah, which I think is one of his greatest qualities, I love him so much," she laughed.

"I can tell, your face just lights up when you talk about him," he laughed.

They spent the rest of the car ride talking about the baby.

"Thank you so much for he ride Josh, have a nice day, tell your daughter I said hey," she said as she waved goodbye at him.
