Chapter 23

She smiled as she walked down the stairs. She wore a black loose shirt with some black tights and Nike's.

"I love the way those tights make your ass look," Simon laughed as she walked up to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist as she buried her face in the crook of his neck.

"So where are we going?" she asked.

"Taylor is driving us and it's a secret," he winked.

"I hate secrets," she said as she grabbed the house keys.

"C'mon Taylor is here," Simon said as he walked out.

"Coming," she said as she locked the door.

He opened the door for her before she got in and he went in after her.

She cracked jokes like crazy on the way to Simon's surprise before they finally arrived.

"Hawk Hill? Really Simon, we've been here billions of times," she laughed.

"Let's go," he said as he kissed her lips before following behind Taylor.

"I wanted to relive the moment of us dating, our second date," he said as he held her hand.

They climbed into the helicopter before Simon sat in the pilot seat.

"Captain Simon here, testing testing, we are about to get this up in the air!" he said as she laughed.

He lifted the helicopter up into the air and began flying over the water.

"Imagine how cool it would be, me and you, to do it in a helicopter," Simon chuckled kissing her cheek as he rested his hand on her thigh.

"In your dreams," she laughed rolling her eyes.

"Of course you wouldn't that's why I said imagine," he said.

They flew for two hours before landing the helicopter. Taylor helped them both out before he drove them home.

"Some Chinese food sounds so good right now," Simon said as he sat on the sofa opening a club soda and chugging it.

"Mhm, maybe you should go pick some up," she suggested as she laid against his chest.

"How about we just order it," Simon suggested.

"I don't care, but I'm going to take a shower," she said as she walked upstairs.

"Without me?" He asked.

"Yes, like I always do, you're taking this to far Konecki, you're going to kill me," she laughed.

He chuckled as he watched her walk upstairs before grabbing his phone and placing an order for Chinese food.

By the time she got out of the shower the food had arrived.

"Sushi!" she shouted excitedly as she opened the take out box.

They ate their food while watching Children of the corn.

"This movie is scary as shit," she said as she ate her chow mien.

"Your dumbass wanted to watch it!" Simon laughed.

"Well," she sighed before laughing.

She woke up to Simon not sleeping next to her. She sat up and grabbed her phone to see 3 I read text messages from Simon.

Simon: Hey sorry for leaving without telling you. There was a problem with the system and I had to come.

Simon: I'll be home maybe around 6pm, I wish I didn't get out late

Simon: I'll make it up to you tonight ;)

She laughed at the last message before shaking her head. As she got up she felt a huge wave of dizziness wash over her.

She held onto the bed until it went away. Her stomach growled so she went downstairs. She warmed up a bagel before putting some cream cheese spread on it. She boiled water before making tea and sitting in the living room to watch Friends on Netflix.

She then heard a knock at the door. She checked the peephole to see that it was Laura.

"Laura!" she shouted as she hugged her best friend.

"Adele, hey babe," she said before letting her in.

"Have a seat," Adele said as she shut the door and they walked into the living room.

"You seem happy, what's up with that?" Laura asked as she grabbed a pillow and put it on her lap.

"I don't know, I've just been feeling very happy recently, Simon has been so amazing lately I'm just happy we're happy you know," she said as her eyes began to water.

Laura laughed.

"Hen why are you about to cry?" Laura laughed.

"I don't know, I'm just happy," she said laughing as she wiped her tears from her eyes.

"You've been so emotional lately!" Laura commented.

"I'm always emotional," she laughed as she picked up her mug to take a sip of her tea.

"Like more emotional, what did Simon do to you?" Laura said.

"He didn't do anything, he's at work, something was messing up the system, he'll be home around 6 at most," she said.

"Are you going to take him something for lunch or is he going to buy something to eat?" Laura asked.

"Don't worry about it, why do you ask anyway?" Adele laughed.

"Because you always take him lunch what do you mean" she laughed as Adele smiled at her.
