Toby’s POV
Day 4- Wednesday
The sun was coming up now and I was still in the yard. It must've been about 6:30am. I’d been in the yard for 2 hours. I didn’t want to move for fear of the fact that I would see blood. All I could think about was why Riley would go psycho and almost kill someone over a girl! ‘I do love her but I think I should just back off. If I do get close to her, I will just leave the house or go away from her.’ I considered in my head.
Then someone opened the front door and I heard my name being called "Toby? OH MY GOD! TOBY!" My back was to Lindsay who ran over to me. Then I did move and found the grass by my head was all bloody and my nose and crotch still hurt a lot. "Toby!" she said as she bent over me, "Where does it hurt?"
"My everywhere."
"What hurts most?"
"My nose and Riley kicked my crotch." It was embarrassing but there’s no way I could hide that.
"Can you sit up? Or does it hurt too much?" When I tried to sit up, I felt dizzy and like I was going to vomit. Sure enough, I did, I leaned away from Lindsay to do it though. I placed my one hand on my stomach. I put my other hand on the ground to stabilize myself.
"I'll be right back." Lindsay said to me as she ran into the house.
She came back with a glass of water, a wet towel, a dry towel, and some ice wrapped in a cloth. I only took a few sips of water before I felt like vomiting again, but I didn't. I used the wet towel to wash my face and the dry one to dry it.
"Here." she said as she thrust some ice wrapped in a cloth towards my free hand.
"What's this for?" I asked.
"Put it where it hurts most. It will ease the pain."
"Here goes." I said as I put it on my pants. Damn that was awkward. So awkward!!!
Then Lindsay lied down beside me and put her hand on my chest and kissed my cheek.
