"Mummy look a giraffe" Lily exclaimed rushing towards the monkey inhabited area. "That's right sweetie, a giraffe." I smiled coming up to her with Troye. "Are you happy?" Troye asked playing with her hair. "Giraffe!" She said clapping.
Troye and I had brought Lily to the zoo as a family day out without Alfie and Jacob. With everything going on we wanted to take our minds off it so decided that it would be best to get out of the house. The look of happiness was all I wanted on my daughters face. You watched as she looked over at the monkey area.
"Monkey" She shouted pointing towards the habitat where the monkeys were. "Do you want to go see the monkeys now?" I asked following her glance. "Yea." She said jumping up and down. "Of you go then." I smiled and she rushed off.
"She's so happy right now." Troye observed as we walked closely behind her. "I wish she could stay like that." I sighed. "She will be. She's stronger then we know." He pointed out. "That she is." I smiled watching the look of joy on my daughters face.
