"Arrissa?" I felt a tap on my shoulder. With a yawn I opened my eyes to see the person who awoke me.

"Hi, dear." Mom gently smiled at me.

"Hello, Mom." I smiled back at her.

"How's your feeling? The helper told us that you're not hungry and want to be left alone. Any problem, my dear?" As soon as I sat up on my bed, she combed my hair with her fingers.

"Nothing, Mom." I hid face from her by looking down.

"You can always tell it to me, remember what I've told you?"

I remembered the time when we mended our relationship.

"I understand that it broke her heart, Mrs. Vincent. But please understand that we're a boarding school who only accept a students, who are only willing to study here. We can't push her or pressure her to study when it is clearly...

I can't hear the following words of Dean when I closed my mind and shut my eyes.

"Arrissa... Please, pull yourself together."

"Arrissa! We've bought your favorite cake!"

I've been a motionless person who didn't even get up from her bed when she needs to eat. I can't... I won't.

I shuddered a breath and pull myself together. I looked at my Mom who hid her tears and wept silently. Dad hugged her from her side and comfort her.

"As of today, I'm suspending Ms. Arrissa Vincent. We will check her every week and when she recovers, that would be the only time I will lift it up the suspension. I'm sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent, but I have to do this. That would be all, these are the things of Ms. Vincent, her friends helped us to packed it."

I stared blankly at the car window.

"Dear? You want to request something to Manang so she can cook it before we arrive? Anything you want, my dear?" I looked at Mom who tried her best to smile. Her eyes were puffy from crying and her lips are quivering.

I remained silent and got back to staring blankly at the car window.

"Oh! Baby, I know something to do! Let's have a vacation!" Dad pipped in. Mom clapped her hands.

"Oooh! That a good idea, hon! Let's go to Tagaytay! Or Ilocos? What about Isla Gigantes? What about you, my dear? Any suggestion?"

I didn't answer any questions from them. When Dad pulled the car to the garage, I gathered my bag and hoodie. I opened the car door and looked at them.

"I'm not hungry po. Bahala po kayo kung ssan ninyo gustong pumunta. I just want to be in my room. No more, no less. Pakisabi na lang po sa mga helpers na ipanhik ang mga gamit ko. Thank you po." I said with my flat voice.

When I entered the house, Manang and some of the helpers welcomed me.

"Arrissa! Anak, kamusta ka na?" Manang greeted me. The helpers said their greetings and bowed their heads.

Imbis na sumagot ay nagmano na lamang ako kay Manang at tumango sa mga helpers. Pagkatapos ay dumiretso na ako sa staircase at pumanhik papuntang kwarto ko.

When I reached my room, I dug something from my bag. Its a box, it contain things with precious memories from someone.

The necklace he gave to me, the one I refused to receive and the one I wore to the party.

The letter he wrote to me that revealed who he truly are.

I lay on my bed and hugged the box dearly on my chest.
