Prom night. The opening performance is dedicated to the LGBTQ+ Club. The students go quiet as The Gem Diversity takes the stage performing and covering "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga. Featuring...

"Lapis Lazuli!" Peridot announces. They then start the song.

It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up 'cause you were born this way, baby

Lapis sings the song while The Gem Diversity just dances and encourages the students to dance as well.

My mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars

She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir

"There's nothing wrong with loving who you are"
She said, "'Cause he made you perfect, babe"
"So hold your head up girl and you'll go far,
Listen to me when I say"

I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby I was born this way

Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way (Born this way)

Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way
Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Right track baby I was born this way

Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be don't be don't be

Give yourself prudence
And love your friends
So we can rejoice your truth

In the religion of the insecure
I must be myself, respect my youth

A different lover is not a sin
Believe capital H-I-M (hey hey hey)
I love my life I love this record and
Mi amore vole fe, yah

I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way

Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way

Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way
Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Right track, baby I was born this way

People from the LGBTQ+ Club step into the stage from the back, still faded from the audience's view. Lapis steps to the far right side of the stage, continuing to sing. The audience dances while looking at the stage.

Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Whether you're broke or evergreen

You're black, white, beige, chola descent
You're Lebanese, you're Orient
Whether life's disabilities
Left you outcast, bullied, or teased
Rejoice and love yourself today
'Cause baby you were born this way

The spotlights flash on the persons who are black, white, beige, chola descent, Lebanese, and Orient.

No matter gay-

Surprisingly, Barren then is being shone by the light. The audience cheers as Barren feels free to be a person who he finally is.

-straight, or bi-

The spotlight is shone on Dan and DP as bi. The audience cheers again.

Lesbian-

The spotlight is shining on Peridot who does a backflip then claps and smiles as the crowd goes even wilder.

-transgendered life-

The light is shone on Kyan. The crowd goes wild again on the unexpected. Noticing, The Gem Diversity is coming out.

I'm on the right track baby
I was born to survive
No matter black, white or beige
Chola or orient made
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to be brave

I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby I was born this way

Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way yeah

Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Baby I was born this way (Born this way)
Oh there ain't no other way
Baby I was born this way
Right track, baby I was born this way

I was born this way hey
I was born this way hey
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way hey

I was born this way hey
I was born this way hey
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way hey

Same D.N.A. but born this way
Same D.N.A. but born this way

The song ends, but oh, they're not done performing yet. The Gem Diversity performs Michael Jackson songs for prom, Lapis leaves the stage to drink some punch.
