"Steve, maybe Fury's right. Maybe Violet is dea-"
"Romanoff, I'm going to find her. I am. I'll find a way back to Violet. I'll find a way." He says to her, "I've lost too many people in this lifetime and I just can't lose her too. I'm...

The Avengers arrive at Stark Tower at two o'clock in the morning. They're all tired from taking down bad guys from the day before. Tony goes straight to the fridge, seeing a box of pizza. "Okay, Avengers. Get some rest, no telling what tomorrow will bring." Steve says to the group. "Okay, but just don't keep us all up again Cap." Clint smirks. "Oh yeah! Did anyone hear that last night?" Bruce teases, smiling at Steve. "Yeah, I know, we all three heard the most god awful sounds coming from your room last night Rogers." Natasha shivers, rolling her eyes. "No offense, Cap, but as big as you are and as little as Violet is..." "Okay, that's one thought I didn't want to imagine right before I go to bed. Thank you, Natasha." Tony says uncomfortably, shivering as well. "But seriously, if you ever hurt my daughter, I will kill you Rogers. In your sleep." "Duly noted." Steve says with a tired smile. "Then I too as well." Thor sets his hammer done on the coffee table, making a fist. "Violet will be avenged if any harm is to come to her." Steve sighs, walking up the steps to the sleeping quarters. Eventually, the rest of the team goes with him. Tony stays in the kitchen eating his leftover pizza. He checks his messages, seeing that Jarvis had sent him a video. He watches as Violet sleeps in his chair, drooling all over the arm rest. Slightly grossed out, Tony continues to watch as his daughter finds peace in his favorite chair. He's glad for her, she's been having a hard time since the passing of her mother. He wishes he had been there for her. Or even knew she existed back then. Violet would have had a better life than she had. When Steve gets to his room, he stops abruptly. His eyes focus on a stretched out Violet sprawled out on his bed. Her eyes are closed and her head tucked into a pillow. She looks so peaceful. He smiles and walks over to where she lays. He unties her converse, throwing them to the side. Steve pulls the covers up so it covers up to her waist. She cuddles deeper into the bed, smiling. Steve strips down and takes a shower, washing the blood, dirt, and sweat from his body. He wipes himself down and then puts on a plaid bottoms and a long sleeve t-shirt. He climbs into bed with Violet. She automatically wraps a boney leg around his muscular body. He smirks as she cuddles into him, using him as a pillow. He can't help but be glad he's back at home with the girl he loves.
Violetis awaken to the sound of an organ being played, a sad tune filling the air. Her dark brown eyes flutter open, her face scrunched up in confusion. When she looks up, she sees a man dressed in a black suit. A pastor. She gives him a look, sitting up. The room is pitch black, only candles are lit for lighting. She turns her ends to see everyone she loves sitting in chairs, wearing dark clothing. She can see all the Avengers, her friend in college, and Pepper. The small crowd is a mixture of tears and stoic faces. "Dearly beloved, Miss Violet Rose Stark was a treasure to all who knew her." Violet looks at him confused, was? "Violet brought joy to her father and his girlfriend," Violet looks over at Tony and Pepper, whose in tears "and laughter to her friend, Charity." Her eyes travel to her friend sitting behind Tony and Pepper. "She was even treasured by the worlds mightiest hero's, the Avengers." Violet looks between each of her friends. Natasha and Thor have stoic faces, brave. Bruce has his head down, face covered so no one can see his expression. Clint has tears rolling down his face but he's standing strong. And then Violet sees one face that scares her: Steve. He looks like he had died. She can tell he's been crying all night with his tear streaked cheeks but emotionless expression. "And what a shame it is to have a funeral for someone so young and so loved." Tears streak down Violet's face as the pastor's words sink in. Funeral? Violet thinks. Suddenly aware of her surroundings, she looks around her to see she's in a casket. Six feet into the ground. She frantically looks up through the darkness, gasping for air. The sky up above is a turquoise green, thunder clouds moving in. Everyone at the funeral stands above Violet's grave, staring down at her in her open casket. "Help!" She screams at them fearfully. They all begin to throw dirt into Violet's grave hole. She screams for them to stop, but ends up making it worse. She can't breathe. The dirt in the air is suffocating her. She tries to crawl out of the hole, finding an escape, but the walls cave in on her. She is swallowed by the rabbit hole.
Violet's eyes fly open, automatically sitting up. She gasps for air, clutching the sheets with one hand. With the other hand over her beating heart, she looks around the dark room. Violet has fallen asleep in Steve's room again. Soft snores turn her attention to the body beside her. She leans over to see Steve zonked completely out. Relief automatically calms her at the sight of Steve. She's safe. She lays down, cuddled up against him. But it takes her a long while to find enough peace go back to sleep.
