As the door to the helicraftor opens, I rush out onto the balcony. I run into the building, happy to be home. I can see Tony has rearranged the different floors of Stark Tower. I'm in a laboratory. Tony and Bruce's laboratory. I turn to see the team walking in, Steve is smiling at me.
"When I left, this was the living room." I chuckle, making Steve's smile bigger.
"Yes, well, planes fell from the sky." Tony says with so much sarcasm, smiling at me. "And besides, this place needed some remodeling."
"Especially after the plane wiped out half the building." Bruce says with a smile.
"I'm so glad to be home," I say happily "but I stink like a hospital."
"Yeah, I can smell it from here? No, I'm just kidding!" Clint chuckles, making me roll my eyes with a smile.
I look up to the ceiling. "Jarvis, what floor are the sleeping quarters on?"
"Welcome back, Miss Stark. The private quarters will be on the fourth floor." Jarvis says, "Mr. Stark, SHIELD has called and wants to talk with you and the Avengers."
"Alright. Jarvis, inform the chef that we want something Italian tonight. Surprise us." I give Tony a look, "What?"
"When did you decide this?" I put my hands on my hips.
"When you decided to use Cap as a pillow." Tony says, "Don't worry, sweetheart. It's better than hospital food." I roll my eyes, crossing my arms. "Go take a shower and get cleaned up. You need to rest."
I start to argue when a hand lightly touches the small of my back, lips on my forehead. I look up to see Steve, his smile as it always is.
"Violet, Tony's right. You need some rest. I love you." He kisses the tip of my nose, making me giggle.
"I love you too, Steve." I blush.
"Come on guys, you can suck faces later!" Clint's voice brings us back.
Steve and I walk over to the elevator where everyone else is waiting on us. Tony is glaring at him and Natasha just looks annoyed at the both of us. The elevator is bigger than it was before. Probably cause we all want to get on at the same time. I hold Steve's hand firmly as we ride down to the 4th floor. When the doors slide open, Natasha's nearly shoves me out of the elevator. I give her a dirty look, she gives me a knife like stare.
"I'll come find you after the meeting, alright?" Steve says, I nod.
I wave goodbye and walk down the hall, hearing the elevator doors close behind me. I already miss Steve.
"Jarvis, what room is mine?" I look to the ceiling, scanning the hallway of closed doors.
"Each dorm room is specially designed for each Avenger and yourself, Miss Stark." Jarvis says, "Each dorm has a name plate on the door."
"Alright." I say, "Jarvis, what roo—"
"I'm terribly sorry, Miss Stark, but Mr. Stark and the Avengers need me at the moment." I nod my head.
"Oh. That's alright." I say, "Talk to you later then."
Jarvis is already gone. I walk around and look at the name plates on the doors. I can see that Tony had issued for each name plate to be labeled by our last names. Like, the first two doors that are opposite of each other are Odinson and Romanoff for Thor and Natasha. (I'm going from the left to the right sides of the hallways just so you readers know!!!) Then it's Barton and Rogers. Then, Dr. Banner and—Stark Jr. I roll my eyes at the sight. Just a joke on me, I suppose. And the last door at the very end of the hall, which is always the case, is Tony's. Labeled STARK in all capital letters.
I step inside my dorm room, trying to find a light switch. When I can't find one, I remember that I once told Tony that I've always wanted to have the clap light for my room. I clap my hands together really loud and really hard, making my hands sting. The lights flash on, my eyes go wide. My new room is amazing! It's high tech and everything! The LED lights have a slight purple hue to them, making my white room look even more cool. I rush over to climb onto the bed, jumping up and down happily. This is do damn amazing! I cheer loudly and continue to jump.
Suddenly, the bed frame cracks. I scream as I fall onto the sliding bed, curled up in a ball before I land. My body shivers, fear spreading throughout my body. What the hell was that? Was it an earthquake? I look around to see nothing else has been touched. I manage to climb out of the broken bed and peak my head outside the door. The hallways looks fine. The pictures that are hung of each of the Avengers haven't moved an inch. Odd. I take a step inside. What the hell just happened?
