"Are you sure you're not scheduled for Raw tonight? Cause I really feel like you are but you're skipping to help me. We can't have you in trouble again and..."
"Paige, are you nervous?" McKenzie smiled plopping herself beside me on the bed as we watched Raw, more precisely awaited Finn's match so that I knew when to start getting ready.
I had chosen to fly down with McKenzie for the week simply because she had mentioned Finn having seemed lost hope in me actually wanting to go out with him. I had debated it, even question Brockley about it and he had seemingly remembered the night at the club when Finn had been kind enough to get us a car back to the hotel. Of course Brock hadn't put it exactly that way but I understood him well.
Was I nervous?
I sighed, "maybe. I hate being nervous its so fucking annoying. I honestly hate what my life has become you know?"
I stared beside me, the position all too familiar as we laid side by side contemplating our decisions in life.

The woman beside me had been a mere thought when I had met Seth back in NXT. He wasn't a saint and he exuded arrogance, worked on my ass but the one thing that softened him and possibly let me take a walk into his heart was the love he had for his sister. He always had a concern for her and of course I hadn't known why until I met her. I hadn't really known we would be so close but as soon as Seth brought her I made it my mission to take her under my wing, yet over the last couple of years it was more the opposite.
She had matured so much and I liked to believe I was the old soul, but my decisions were constantly leading me into a spiral. Here she was a couple years younger than me at that and married to the Beast she managed to tame. I tried my best to maintain a friendship with everyone I crossed but in all my years McKenzie was the one person who knew me almost as well as her brother did.
