Chapter 38: Not Again

"Gaga, magpretend ka! Andyan si Ian sa likod"

Bigla akong napanganga sa sinabi ni William. Mas humigpit ang pagkakayakap niya sa akin at bumulong pa ulit. "May lahi bang aso yang ex husband mo? Kung makasunod dito, parang walang isyung naiwan sa Pilipinas."

Pasimple kong tinignan ang paligid at agad namang natanaw ito. Sakanya pala ang kotseng iyon na pansin din niyang sunod ng sunod sa kanila, kanina pa.

I break away from the hug and acting like I didnt saw him. William is a great friend of mine dito sa london. He owns a big line of shoes in Europe and a big fan of musicals. White man pero laking pilipinas. Kung titigan mo ito para siyang tunay na lalaki pero ang katunayan niyan mas malambot pa ang puso kesa sa mga babae. He knows Ian and my stories.

Siya lang ang kaibigan kong sagad ang galit kay Ian. Sabi niya diko siya deserve, that I deserve better. He became yzian's father figure. Kaya malapit sa kanya ang bata. He was a fan that turned into a good friend. Dahil sa sagad ng galit niya kay Ian, siya pa mismo nag hire ng attorney para lang madivorce ang kasal namin ni Ian. At halos mapatid na ang litid niya sa galit sa  akin ng sabihin kong hindi ko pa napapapirmahan ang divorce papers.

"Does he know?" Ngumuso siya sa isang banda at umiling ako.

"No. He doesnt need to know. Maawa lang siya sa kin. Like every body else. Like you." I shrudded my shoulders and faked a smile.

"But he's here. Oh ano, umakan ko na?" Sigang sinuntok ng kamao niya ang mga palad niya at napatawa nalang ako.

"Shut up William, di mo bagay! Stop pretending, umalis na siya." He looked to the same direction and loosen up.

"Hayaan mo lang siya. Malalaman din niya, but not now. For now, he was just nothing. As long as di pa siya nagpapakita kay Yzian, kontrolado pa. Anyway, till when ka dito?"

"20th I guess."

"Owkay. Stay at home please? We missed you Papi, right Yzian?" Tawag ko sa atensyon ng anak ko.

"Yeah Papi! stay at home! My mummy needs some help convincing Super Doctor to heal me! We came from the hospital earlier and the Super Doctor says no." Tumingin ito sa nilalaro niya at biglang nalungkot. William looked at me.

I took a deep breath and walked a little bit away from Yzian and William followed.

"I seriously dont know what to do, Wil. Ang dami daming conflicts. Nagsisisabayan yung mga problema. Kay Ian. Sa bata. Sa career ko. Everything seems so tough. Ni walang gabi na lumilipas na hindi ako nagmamaka awa sa kanya. Na sana pagalingin na niya si Yzian. To heal her. Not let her suffer."

I harshly wiped away my tears and looked from afar. He comes closer to me and give me a tight hug.

"Towng towng towng
Pakitowng keetowng
Arimangoe, sha dagat
Melaki at metaba
Maherap huliin sha pagkat
Nanga..ngagat"

We suddenly burst out in laughter after yzian finishes her song.

"Ayunnn. Iba talaga pag laking Rondon eh no." William shook off his head and went near yzian where shes happily playing with her toy crabs. I followed.

I tucked her loosed hair strands and kissed her on the lips. "Galing galing kaya ng baby ko mag sing."

She came in to me and give me the tightest hug. "You like it?" She asked. Kiniliti ko siya sa tagiliran niya at sinabing, "ofcourse hunny! It makes me so happy." Hinawi ko ang mga buhok na nagkalat sa mukha niya saka tinitigan siya.

A few more hours of playing and singing and dancing, nagyaya ng umuwi si Nana. When we got home, I prepared a simple dinner for everyone. Nana went home and William stayed at home just like what he promised to Yzian.

"Where have you been Ian? Omygod! You're drunk!"

Kat said as she wrinkled her nose when she opened the door for me. Oo. Sumama sila ni Trixie dito sa London. Wala na akong nagawa pa. She threaten me na ipapalaglag niya yung bata oras na iwanan ko siya. I have no choice. Sa gitna ng galit ko sa kanya dahil sa mga nagawa niya, hindi ko siya magawang saktan dahil sa batang dinadalang tao niya.

"Let me go. I can walk." I took off her hands thats supporting me and gained all the strength that I have left to walk alone and proceeded to the shower.

The cold water calms me. Despite the low temperature that London has always got, I enjoyed this cold bath. I dont know but it makes me numb. Eto ang gusto kong maramdam. Yung maging manhid nalang ako sa lahat ng ito. As the water flows, I felt my eyes burnt. I took a deep sigh and opened my eyes wondering for the things I have to endure. For the things I have to give and fought. For the things that I have to sacrifice to have my family back again.

Tinakasan ko ang mga issues ko sa pilipinas. Since the media saw me and Kat at the airport together, it somehow lessen the tension. Habang sina Shin naman hindi na nagsalita pa sa mga issues.

I turned off the shower and grabbed the towel. I picked some clothes on my luggage and changed on them. Kat and I have separate rooms. It was on my condition. Sasama sila but we were not on the same bed nor on the same room. I just cant.

It has been a long day today. Inayos ko na yung higaan ko at saka humiga na. As I tried to close my eyes, I heared my phone beeped.

May tila kaba akong naramdaman kaya agad akong napabangon at nagmadaling binasa iyon.

"Ian, we were at Orange Chilren's Hospital. I rushed Yzian just now. She was on tubes and hardly breathing. Unconcious. She needs her dad."
