Chapter 34 Fool me Twice

Jake stood in his room gathering some camera's and other equipment, he had spoken to Ebony,
who said she wanted to do a photoshoot with him that day, and he was more then happy to go over.
*Don't take everything so seriously, its just a dumb crush, Ebony's just a hot girl* Jake told himself,
trying to keep his cool.

"Chance! Get in here!" Jake shouted, he heard Chance run and slide into the room, "What happened!? What's going on?" Chance asked looking around frantically, "Help me load this crud into my car" Jake told him, "Are you serious?" Chance questioned frowning at him, "Serious as my cut nerves" Jake said with a cunning grin at Chance who blushed with embarrassment, and quickly just started getting his stuff, loading it into Jake's trunk, Jake chuckled watching him go, he started to go to the kitchen in search of a snack, when he saw Anthony sitting there, hoodie on, hunched over texting someone.

"What's good bro?" Jake greeted casually, Anthony threw up a hand, while Jake reached with his good arm getting some cocoa puffs of the top of the fridge, still watching Anthony curiously.
"Who are you texting bro?" Jake questioned, "Lau- No body" Anthony answered shaking his head,
"Who?" Jake asked chuckling, "Don't worry about it" Anthony told him, "Okay...?" Jake said rolling his eyes at Anthony's weirdness, he opened the box of cereal, starting to shake it into his mouth, a few puffs hitting the floor, while he caught some in his mouth.

"You know the bowls are right there" Nick said walking into the kitchen, "Thanks mom" Jake said squinting his eyes with a little smarmy smile, Nick groaned at him, "Jake, if you need some help, just ask" Nick told him,
"I don't need it- watch" Jake said, he got a mouthful of cocoa puffs, then grabbed some milk out of the fridge, pouring it into his mouth. "Sthee?" Jake mumbled through a mouthful, "Your a idiot" Nick said shaking his head, Jake just shrugged, chewing up his mouthful swallowing it, "Anyways I got to run, later guys" Jake said walking away patting Nick's shoulder as he left, "Hold it, where are you going?" Anthony asked finally looking up from his phone, "Out" Jake said, "Are you going out to see anyone?" Anthony questioned, "Yeah bro, Ebony, why?" Jake questioned, "...Good luck" Anthony said, Jake exchanged a look with Nick, before looking back at Anthony, "Good luck?" He repeated confused, "What's going on in ya bloomin' head boy?" Nick questioned, "Its nothing that serious, chill" Anthony told them, "You need to chill" Jake said chuckling, while Nick was still looking angry, "Anyways, I'm heading out" Jake said leaving, Anthony got up leaving the room right after he heard Jake shut the front door.

Jake got into his tesla shutting the door, he drove to 'Ebony's' apartment, hoping to surprise her,
the two had agreed on a place to meet up, and a time, but Jake made sure he was early, so he could catch her at home. Jake pulled up to her apartment laughing to himself, as he got out, *She has like, no idea* Jake thought as he went up into the apartment complex, he started to knock on a few doors, asking around at which apartment, a 'Ebony' stayed at, but most of the people were confused with whom he was speaking about.
"Ebony, she has long pale blonde hair, blue eyes, a cute little nose, she's funny?" Jake said describing her to a older man in the building, he frowned at Jake looking him up and down.

"Blonde huh? Hmm, I know a girl a few doors down, but uh, her name wasn't, what was that you said?" The man rambled, "Ebony?" Jake said, "Ebony! Yes her name was Lauren, I think she use to be a nanny or something" The man told Jake, "Lauren?" Jake questioned frowning, "I don't think so bro" Jake said, The old man shrugged, as Jake started to leave giving up on finding her room, but he eventually gave in, thinking maybe the old dude made a mistake, and decided to knock on the door, just to be sure.

Erika was sitting on a blanket with Jackie, trying to play patty-cake with her, while she was giggling and kicking her feet. Erika sat up hearing a knock at her door, she got up walking to the door,
hoping it was Lauren back to help her, she put her hand on the doorknob a weird feeling going through her as she answered the door.
