Chapter 39 Jerika?

"Oh my gosh! Oh my-!" Erika gasped she whipped her head back up, looking at Jake whom still had his eyes closed, but he was coughing trying to get some air, Erika started calling for a doctor, telling Logan who was still outside to go get one, her heart beating like crazy, as she wiped the tears from her eyes, a new hope in them instead as she looked at Jake.

"Jake, Jake, come on you got this!" Erika encouraged grabbing his hand as she trembled with excitment, soon Logan returned with two Doctors in tow, "We're gonna need you to leave for a little while" A Doctor told them, "But-" Erika was saying, but Logan grabbed her shoulder, making her sigh in defeat before he led her out and to the waiting room, where some of the team had regrouped.

"What happened in there?" Logan asked her, "Yo, yo, did he wake up??" Kade quickly chimed in, "What did you do?!" Chad asked eyes wide, "I was talking to him, I meantioned how he saved me..I- I honestly thought we we're losing him for a second there...I got so scared when the hours we're up, then he suddenly starting gasping for air! I just" Erika stuttered still shaking from being in shock, Erika's eyes widened as she was suddenly hugged tightly.

"Thank you" Logan said, "I didn't do anything..." Erika told him a little unsettled with Logan's arms around her, "You got my little brother up again, that's everything to me" Logan said voice full of sincerity,
Erika smiled hugging Logan back, before he pulled back, "Are you guys serious? Jake's up?" Chance asked,
"Yeah bro!" Chad said happily, "I got to call Mom and Dad, they said they we're gonna try and fly out and everything!" Logan said quickly dialing their numbers walking away from the group, while the rest continued chattering, wondering what they were gonna say when they could speak to Jake again.

"Costell" Chance said looking at her, "What?" Erika questioned getting a little defensive, "You still need to redeem yourself with Jake but..." Chance said looking down, "Hmm?" Erika said, "Whatever the reason, I'm just glad he's with us again" Chance mumbled before looking her over, and walking away, Erika just stood against the wall, she was excited for Jake, but at the same time scared to talk to him again, what would she say?
What's next for them? Erika grabbed her phone texting Lauren.

Erika:Where are you??

Lauren:Sitting in the cafeteria with Tony

Erika:Jake's awake!

Lauren:NOWAY!!

Erika:I'm trying not to cry, he's up, I heard him!

Lauren:I'll be right up with Anthony! ❤

Erika:🐐

"Anthony?" Lauren said softly, Anthony sat there arms folded with his head down, "Mmm?" He mumbled,
"Erika texted me" Lauren told him, she saw Anthony slightly tense up, expecting bad news, "He's up" Lauren said a grin spreading across her face, as she saw the surprise on Anthony's.

"Are you serious?" Anthony asked looking at her, "Yep" Lauren said seeing Anthony brighten up, "The trio lives!" He exclaimed getting up, Lauren stood up with him smiling seeing him happy.
"Let's not wait around then, let's go" Anthony said starting rush away, "Wa-wait for me!" Lauren said trying to keep up, Anthony ran back, grabbing her hand, "I wasn't gonna leave you" He chuckled making her blush, before he started running with her.

Anthony and Lauren came in through the doors of the waiting room, both slightly panting, hands still intertwined. "Lo!" Erika exclaimed hugging her cousin, before she eyed Lauren's hand and smirked at her,
Lauren blushed deeply, before clearing her throat, "How's Jake?" Lauren asked, "You just missed the Doctor, he said we can go in now" Logan piped up happily, "I told you guys to chill, my boys a savage!" He said puffing his chest out, "I seem to remember you losing all your chill" Chad joked, Logan just smiled and tapped his fist against Chad's, "Forget that, or I'll force ya" He said through gritted teeth, Chad held up his hands in defense, making the group laugh a little, all a lot more relieved.

Team 10 and Logan came into Jake's room, where a Doctor was clicking some buttons of a machine next to Jake,
attached to the tube of a oxygen mask on his face.

"Jake!" Logan yelled eyes bright and happy, as he rushed up to his side, Jake had his eyes lazily opened, his eyes slowly moved around looking at his Team as they gathered around him, he slowly smiled a little, and put his hand up making a fist, Logan smiled fist-bumping him. "Yahhh! There you go, thats my boy!" Logan said grinning, "Jake, bro how do you feel?" Chad asked, "Are you okay?" Chance questioned, "You gotta be moving soon, its every day bro" Kade said smirking, "Bloody heck, let the boy speak, stop bombarding him!" Nick yelled at them, Jake laughed a little, his voice coming out a bit hoarse getting everyones attention.

"Guys...I'm gucci" Jake said his voice raspy, "Thats my flippin' boy!" Logan squeaked, before the Doctor grabbed his shoulder, he whispered something before walking out, "I'll be right back Jakey" Logan said before ruffling his hair and leaving with the Doctor, the rest continued to ask Jake how he was feeling, and just gushing about him being up, Anthony soon started joking about how Banks was a priss, and how he knocked him out, until Jake spoke up.

"Sorry to be a jerk, but can ya'll leave?" Jake said getting everyones attention, "Of course Jake" Nick agreed getting everyone out, "Except you, Erika" Jake said quietly, making her freeze in her tracks.
*Time to face the music* Erika thought.
