Chapter 33 Love to Hate you

Erika stood under a street light, she felt a little cold as she looked over the dark city,
of course L.A was always hot, but her fear kept her with a chill down her spine.
Erika had got to the address Anthony had told her to meet at, it was at a little spot between some older buildings, where she could see across the way the bustle of the actual city, but it'd be hard for them to spot her, in all honesty Erika didn't want to be there, her instic told her to be home that night...
But she had too many secerts that could get out if she didn't comply.

"Tricky Rik..." Erika heard a males voice, she jumped a little looking to the side where Anthony slowly
approached her, with each step he took, she felt her skin crawl.

"Anthony..." Erika greeted cautiously, "What's going on, why are we here?" She questioned,
"Its about your little fake persona" Anthony said leaning against one of the buildings while he stared at her, "Ebony?" Erika questioned, "Bingo" Anthony said dryly, "What? I haven't done anything, I've been helping Jake, and minding my own business" Erika told him, "Just 'helping' him?" Anthony questioned, making Erika swallow nervously, "Stop being so creepy, you've seen me over at the house, I didn't do anything but help with his recovery!" Erika defended herself, as Anthony's tone of voice, and malicious stare got to her.

Anthony chuckled a bit, "Why are you so scared? Yours lies catching up with you too fast?" Anthony questioned
taunting her, "Did you invite me out here to try and scare me then?" Erika asked folding her arms,
"I made you come out here, because your about to repeat the same mistake" Anthony explained gripping the inside of his pocket, while he stared at Erika's confused face, "What are you talking about?" She asked frowning.

"Making someone fall in love with you, then you crush them, and make all these problems for yourself and the other person" Anthony somewhat explained, Erika gasped, then crinkled her nose in confusion,
"Are you talking about Jake? You aren't..." Erika said in shock, "Listen, you've got two choices,
either confess who you really are, or get out of his life" Anthony told her, Erika looked down for a little while contemplating her options, before she looked up meeting Anthony's eyes again, "This isn't fair!
This has nothing to do with you, why can't this be between us!?" Erika questioned in frustration,
Anthony shrug, "I'm just as involved as you, Ebony" Anthony said, a smirk spreading across his face
when he saw Erika flinch at the meantion of her 'stage' name.

"I'd rather for this drama to be over, I'm tired of Chance bugging me about it if I'm being honest" Anthony said yawning a bit, "Sure that's all..." Erika muttered, "Your in no position to get smart, make your decision, or I'll just tell him for you" Anthony said, making Erika frown in frustraion, "I reccomend you say something though, it takes a special person to still have feelings for you" Anthony told her before walking off.

Erika listened as his footsteps faded away, the sound of a car replacing them, she laid her head against the street light, staring ahead. *Would it repair our love with honesty, or break our bond finally?* Erika questioned in her head, the thoughts churned her stomach, making her feel sick. *I am sick...Sick of lying, if I love Jake, I should tell him the truth, whatever the outcome, I shouldn't torture his mind* Erika thought, she got off the street light, going to call a Uber for home, as her mind hurt her body, thinking of her little 'relationship' with Jake being over.

Anthony stopped at a red light, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel as he waited for the light to turn, while he stared off, he suddenly saw a familiar blonde crossing the street, he leaned over squinting his eyes, till he made out the figure. Anthony honked waving the person over, who unsurely approached his car.

"Anthony?" She spoke, "Lauren right?" Anthony questioned, "Yeah, uh, what do you want?" Lauren asked,
"If your out here, who's watching Erika's kid, Ebony?" Anthony asked in a joking manner, enjoying the freaked out look on her face,
"How did you kno-" Lauren was starting to ask, but he stopped her, "Long story, I just got done talking to your cousin, your little situation isn't a sceret to me" Anthony told her, He glanced up seeing the light changed from red to green.

"How about you hop in, and I give you a ride to where ever?" Anthony suggested, Lauren knowing she didn't have much money to get herself started with...whatever she was going to do without Erika, and couldn't afford a Uber, so she decided she'd give it a go.

Lauren got up into the truck, shutting the door as Anthony started to drive, "How do you know about Erika being Ebony?" Lauren finally asked, "I have my ways" Anthony said with a smug smile, "Well, you can just drop me at the air port" Lauren said sounding a bit irritated, "Your abandoning your cousin?" Anthony asked, Lauren scoffed before facing him, "Before I answer you question, answer me this," Lauren spoke with a sassy attitude, Anthony widened his eyes a little a amused look on his face, "If this was the same situation with Jake, and he got some girl pregnant cheating on Erika, and had to watch the baby, but he left it with you all the time to mess around with his ex, how would you feel?" She questioned, "I wouldn't be mad" Anthony said simply, "WHAT!?" Lauren shouted angrily, "I wouldn't be in that situation, I would've got out way before you" Anthony laughed, Lauren sighed hiding her smirk, "What should I do...?" She eventually asked quietly, "Stay around L.A, Erika won't be messing around much longer" Anthony told her, "How can you be so sure?" Lauren questioned, "I just know" Anthony said stopping at a hotel, near the apartment Erika stayed at, he handed Lauren some money, while she stared confused.

"Have a nice stay" Anthony said practically shoving Lauren out, "W-Wha-?" She babbled confused, "Keep outta trouble" He said with a click of his tongue before driving off.
