It was 2nd semester already. During winter break I wouldn't go out anywhere even out with my friends. Not because my coughing gotten worse and I need be in bed more often in which I got medicine that help me but I almost lost all feeling through my lower half so now I'm on crouches and I'll be put into a wheel chair soon after that. My body is slowly giving up and dying. I can feel it but I'm still fighting it through the end even though it's pointless at this rate.

Me and my friends were now in the cafeteria eating our lunches. Rio is messing with my couches as I sit on the benches eating a salad I brought from home. "Rio! Leave her crouches alone!" Alice told him. "It's fine Alice as long he's not whacking people with them then it's good." I said. "How you feeling today?" Harper asked. "A bit better then yesterday." I said. "Although I'm feeling more weak in my lower half." I added.

"How long do you think your going to be in crouches before you be in wheelchair?" Shrimpy asked. "Shrimpy!" Everyone yelled out. I giggled at everyone's outburst. "Not sure, but I know it's pretty soon from what the doctors told me." I said. "Doctors don't know nothing or what they are doing! You know why! Because they work for the government and want to do weird test on us!" Jamie proclaimed. "I'll keep that in mind when I see my doctor this week Jamie." I said nervously.

"Chill Jamie, she's been going to the doctors left and right more then we have and it's besides the regular routine checkups." Katila commented. "Hey!? Watch where your swinging that thing!?" I heard someone yell from the distance. Me and the whole group looked towards the direction of the sound and saw Rio running away from a group of football players that were a bit taller than him. "I told you!!!" Alice yelled at him. The whole group either laughed, sighed, or asked why is he over there. "Uhhh Rio can I have my crouches back?" I asked him. "Sure!" He said smiling. He handed it to me and I let my crouches lean against the bench trying not to make them fall off to the side. "Thanks." I said.

After that everyone started talking about other things. K-pop, anime, marvel, music, anything. I'm over here mindlessly eating my salad. Thinking, I was just thinking about something. Until it hit me. "Promise." I blurted out. It made everyone to stop mid-sentence of their conversation or their beginning. "What?" Nabi asked. "Promise me something....all of you....as a group." I said staring off into the distance without making eye contact with anyone. "Sure what is it?" Katila asked.

"Promise....that no matter how far separated we are even through death we will always be there for each other, for its ups and downs....for its sad and happy moments......for the terrifying and humble opportunities.....for the risk and favors we may all ask for each other.....promise that we will not forget each other, promise that we will be by each other's side, Promise we will find each other again no matter what happens." I said turning my gaze to the whole group, "can you all promise me that.....as a whole group?" I asked them.

Everyone was quiet taken back of what I said. They have been quiet for a long time that I thought lunch was over. Until Harper leaned in and gave me a hug. I heard sniffles from her and a meek yes. Soon everyone joined in giving me a hug some were crying others were not, all agreeing to the promise I stated out to everyone.

Soon after that we're all heading to our classes. As I was somewhat limping across campus I couldn't help but looked up to the sky and stare at it for a moment. It felt calming in a way I closed my eyes for a moment and sent my last thoughts to the sky before heading to class.

An unforgettable promise.....
