I was at a book signing, signing a book that sold very well and everyone started talking about it. I always wanted to pursue writing when I was in middle school and continued on through high school. I have a lot of stories in my thousands of notebooks that I want to publish and put it out to the public. But this particular story is special.
It talks about one friend that survived through it all through even in the end she dies. I made each character unique and quirky in their own way. My favorite character in the book is a girl named Genesis Romo because she's awesome like me. Duh! After nearly 3 hours of signing hundreds of copies of books I finally to get to have a break.
I walked to the coffee shop that's in the bookstore and ordered a pastry and a coffee. While I was waiting for my order to be called up. I noticed a person that looked fairly familiar. Long dark raven hair and fair tan skin. Unfortunately I couldn't see the persons face too well since her hair is covering her face up. "One pastry and coffee to go miss!" The lady that worked behind the counter gave me my food and drink "thanks." I said but was still distracted by the mysterious person.
I was gonna walked up to that person but a group of young teenagers stopped me to ask some questions. I kindly answered them all before telling them I had to eat lunch before my break is over. They understand and left me be. I forgot about the mysterious person and looked at the direction where she was sitting but she was gone. I went to the table that person was sitting and saw that they left their book behind. I looked around the store hoping to catch a glimpse or a sense of direction where that person went.
But there was no trace. The book was faced down so the description was on top. I grabbed the book to see what the person was readying surprising enough that person was reading my book! I opened the book and out came a letter. I flipped through the book more and in one of the chapters there was a sticky note.
I see where you got your inspiration, I knew you could do it. But I gotta say Genesis Romo sure does act a lot like you, Jamie Madison.
I took the sticky note out and I was scared and shocked. No one knows my real name besides the group of friends I have since high school. I used a fake writers name instead. How did this person find out who I am? Who is this person? Not only that how did this person know how I act and behave?
A lot of questions filtered through my head as I finished my lunch. The letter was even a bigger mystery. What's written in this letter? Who wrote this letter? Did that person wrote that letter? I was about to open up the letter until someone came up to me startling me. "Jesus!? Can you not do that!" I shouted. "Sorry! But break is almost over." One of the workers who work here told me. I let out a sigh and put the letter in my pocket.
After several my hours have passed along with hand cramping signature writing in books. I finally made it home. I was exhausted and tired. It feels like my hand is about to fall off any given moment. I sat on my couch and grabbed the remote to watch some tv. But I remembered the letter in my pocket.
I put the remote down and pulled the letter out from my pocket. I opened up the letter and instantly started to read.
In the letter I couldn't believe it. It had to be some sick joke right! But if it was how would they know to give it to me?
I grabbed my keys and jacket. I put my shoes on going outside to lock the door. I went to my car and started driving.
Driving to a place where me and the others promised and last said a word to each other.
.....it can't be...right?....
