I was in Nickelodeon studios working on a new episode for this work. I do character design and animation work. It's something I always have a passion for especially in high school. Me and most of the other people amongst my group of friends enjoy drawing.
"Almost done with the backdrop." I talked to myself. As I finished putting in the last detail I finally called it a night. I sat up and started stretching my cramp muscles. I grabbed my things and started heading towards my car.
The parking lot was somewhat empty probably like 4 or 5 cars including mine were in here. I walked up to my car to unlock it but clumsy me I dropped my keys by accident. I bent down to grab it but as I grabbed it I saw a pair of boots on the other side of the car. I don't recognize anyone who wore those boots. I stood back up and was met with a female. She wore a black hoodie that the hood of the jacket was up but it was too big so it masked over her face. I couldn't get anymore physical description but her long dark raven hair that peeked through.
"Uhhh May I help you?" I asked. A bit taken back from the mysterious lady in front of me. "Actually....yea." She spoke softly. "What do you need? Money? A ride home?" I offered. "None of those sort of things." She spoke.
I watch the lady walked around the car and up to me. "I actually wanted to give you this." She pulled something out of her hoodie pocket. I was expecting to be a gun or a knife or some type of weapon. But actually it was a white envelope. "An envelope?" I questioned and took it from her hands, "who's it from?" I asked the lady.
"A close friend." She stated bluntly. "Which one? I have many." I asked again. "One you haven't heard of for quite sometime." She spoke. I was confused and puzzled by these lady's words. "Who are you then?" I asked realizing I never gotten her name.
"Just another living person." She pulled the hood of her jacket down towards her face to conceal her identity and started walking off towards my direction ending up behind me. "For real! Who are you?" I turned around to get my damn answer but she was no where in sight. Did she blend in with the shadows? No way someone can leave that fast without making any sound. I looked down at the envelope in my hand.
I opened my car door and got in. I didn't start the car yet if anything I was more intrigued by the envelope that was given to me. I opened it and inside was a drawing. It was a drawing in a cartoon graffiti style. I only knew one person with this style but it might have been a copy off from the internet or something. You can get your hand on anything nowadays.
I flipped over the drawing to see if there was anything in a back. There was a comic strip. But not any other comic strip. It was a comic strip I was most familiar of with the cute little animals doing the most funniest thing that we did. I smiled softly reading the small comic strip due to how funny and cute they are and how they brought back some memories.
At the bottom of the comic strip there was a little note.
It feels so nostalgic when you look back on your old works. Especially how far you came from. I remember back in high school you couldn't draw cartoon figures only realistic drawings. But here you are working on a cartoon. I guess practice does make perfect, Maxell Game.
Confused and a bit shocked by the small note on the bottom of the drawing. I try my best to figured out who would be a close friend of mine and someone I haven't talked to in a while. I looked in the envelope again hopefully to find something. Luckily I did. A letter was enclosed. I unfolded it and started reading.
Sentence after sentence I was finding my answers of who what and why. I finished reading the letter and pulled the handle on my car to drive and started driving. Driving to an area I've last seen this close friend.
.....is it a miracle?....
