John's POV-

After we left the ice cream shop we decided that it would be best to go home. The girls need to get used to their new home. And there was someone that had to get used to the girls. Kurla. Kurla was our pit-bull-lab. Dave and I had found her one rainy night in march. She was laying in an alley practically dead. Dave had said that we should just let nature take its course, but I wasn't going to let her die in the middle of damp and scary place. So I had Dave carry her back to our house. And I nursed her back to health. Now she was two years old and as healthy as ever. She was actually just a big baby and by looking at her you could never tell she was so close to dying one night. I couldn't wait for the girls to meet her.

"So this is our new home?" River asked in awe. "Yeah. what else would be numbnuts?" Ryan, looked over her shades at her twin. River smacked the back of Ryan's head. "Shut up, you smartass. You know we haven't seen a nice house in a while." Dave snorted. "Did you just call her a smartass?" I sighed. "Dave that isn't funny. They shouldn't be cursing at this age. They're only ten." Dave turned to me. "Dude I was "cursing" at the age of five. I don't see what the problem is. The earlier the better, Cause you know if they wait, its only going to get worse. They'll cuss more." I nodded. "I guess you're right." He wrapped his arm around me. "You bet your booty I'm right." I snorted. "Alright. C'mon let's show them around." I said as I pulled a key out of my pocket and put into the lock.

Dave's Pov-

"Okay, so this is the living room. Where all the living happens. Probably not. That open archway over there is the kitchen. We don't have a dinning room so you can eat on the bar in the kitchen or in the living room. Through this door," I explained as I pointed to different parts of the house. "Is my D.J stuff. And I would prefer it if you don't go in here. This is my quite place and I hate when people come in here. Even John isn't allowed in here." The twins nodded. "Thanks." I turned away from the red painted door and continued down the hallway. This is a bathroom. This is a closet. The office room. The laundry room. The pantry. And this is," I pointed to the last door on the first floor. "Kurla's room." Ryan laughed. "Why is there a dog door on the door?" John snickered. "Kurla is our dog." River snorted. "That's so cute. But why does she have a room." John sighed. "Kurla is very special. We found her in an alley. She was almost dead. So we had to set up a special room for her just in case she gets sick or hurt again." Ryan smiled. "Can we see her?" River nodded. "Yeah! Can we?" I nodded. "Sure thing."

We led the girls outside where we had put Kurla when we left to go to the adoption fair. "Kurla! Where are you hiding pretty girl?" There was a loud bark after John stopped talking. "Kurla!" I called. This time there wasn't a bark. I turned to John. "She's playing hide'n'seek or Marco Pollo. I can't tell." River and Ryan smiled. I could tell they were thinking the same exact thing. It must be that twin telepathy I had heard about. I don't think really need a twin for this. Because Rose and I can read each other minds. And she's only my half sister. "Kurla!" They called together. I could hear Kurla whimper. She didn't know who the new voices were. And I bet it scared her. Because if John or I had called out to her again she would have just barked and expected us to keep playing with her. It could have gone on for hours. I looked around the backyard and noticed that Kurla's snout was poking out between a tree. "I see her." I whispered. "Call her again." The twins nodded. "Kurla." They called. Kurla whimpered and came out of hiding. When she seen the twins she got scared and howled. But when she noticed that we were standing behind them she got excited and ran to us. Unsurprisingly she tackled John to the ground. I laughed. "Girls, this is Kurla." River smiled slightly. "She's so pretty." Ryan snorted. "You think everything is pretty. Sometimes the world is an ugly place Riv. Get used to it." River smacked her. "And what I have I been telling you. Shut up." Ryan snorted again. "Since when did you grow a back bone?" River smiled. "Since I knew you didn't always have one." I smiled at those two. Man they had already grown up at the age of ten. Almost like me. "Well what do you guys think?" They smirked. "Its amazing."
