Adoption Day

Dylan Server and Joan capps

Dylan's POV

I poked Joan in the back of the head. "Dude, look." I pointed at the four people standing in the door way. Joan clapped. "Wow! It's been forever since someone got adopted. And look there's four of them!" She tugged on my shirt. "Let's go say hi!" She quickly pulled me to the four people. "Dave, look." The boy with black hair poked the guy with sunglasses, Dave. "We have guests." Joan pushed me in front of her. 'Go ahead.' She mouthed. I nodded. "Hi, I'm Dylan Server. It's nice to meet you." Dave smirked. "Sup, I'm Dave. This is my boyfriend, John." John poked him again. "I thought you worried about that." Dave shook his head. "Not anymore. Plus he seems cool." I smiled. No one had ever called me cool before. Joan walked up next to me. "Hi! I'm Joan! Joan Capps." John giggled. "She reminds me of Jade." Joan smiled. "Hey guys some help here!" I heard a guy yell. "Oh. Poor Karkat. I'll go help him." A girl with short blond hair walked over to Karkat. He was surrounded by a few other kids who weren't in our age group. Dave shook his head. "Karkat can't keep out of trouble. Sollux should have came to keep an eye on him instead of my sister." John smiled. "Don't worry about him. We have a lot of kids to get to know."

Joan's POV

I really liked John. He was really nice. And super nerdy. He also said I was like Jade. I don't know who that is but I think it was a positive thing. I watched him as he talked to the other kids in our age group. Dave on the other hand was sitting on the ground in silence. I walked over to him and sat down next to him. "What's up, Dave?" He sighed. "I'm not used to these kinds of things kid. I'm not very social able like John." I smiled. "You just got to try." He shrugged. "It's not that easy. I'm no good at it. I've always been that way. I'm just going to let John do his thing." I laughed. "What ever you say Dave. What ever you say."
