Sleep? what's that?

Dave's pov-

Even though, we've been awake for more than 24 hours I couldn't sleep. John had sent the girls to bed soon after we got out of the game. But I was still wide awake with no where to go. I sat on the couch of the Egbert's living room. I removed my shades and looked up at the ceiling. Everything looked brighter without my shades. I sighed. It felt like years since I've been here. I heard footsteps head down the stairs. "Dave?" It was Jade. I quickly slipped my shades back onto my face. I sat up on the couch. "Yeah?" She walked over to me and plopped down down on the couch. "Can't sleep, huh?" I smiled slightly. "Sleep? What's that?" She snorted. "Yeah." She placed her head on my lap. "I never thought as soon as I got back from being over seas that I'd be back in Sburb." I nodded. "Yeah. We didn't either. We came down here to get you and go back so we could get the girls into school and go on with our lives." She sighed. "It seems like only yesterday that we were just twelve and meeting on the internet for the first time. And now we're all grown up. You've got kids. Most of us are in college. And we've gone down seperate paths in life." I nodded. She was right. Everything has changed once we turned into adults. We aren't the children we used to be. Always picking on each other over the internet or at school. We weren't stuck in the horrible game that took over our lives anymore. We're all different. It's weird that were talking about this now. But we've hadn't had any sleep since we got out of the game. At least we had this chance to talk some things out.
