the 2nd gate (part 2)

Ryan's pov-

Finding grits wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. There was just a patteren I had to follow. I had to step a certain amount of times on the right color. It was like playing Dance Dance revolution. I eventually gathered enough grist to build up to the second gate. I began making my treck back to River. Once I reached the peak of the hill. I could see her. She was still sitting on the ground, digging up the dirt. "Did you find anything?" I asked once I was a few feet away from her. "No. Did you?" I nodded. "Yep! I have enough to build up to the gate." River stood up. "That's great! Well what are you waiting for. C'mon build up!" I snorted and rolled my eyes at her. "Alright. Jeez calm down." I pulled my Gamepad (11/10=1) out of the syalladex. Hash map was super convenient. I looked at the game screen, searching for the grist cache. I found it and began building up to the second gate. I can't wait for the game to get really exciting.

River's pov-

I watched as Ryan built up the structure of the house. It was exciting to see her. She looked so cool. I wish I was more like her. She showed no fear. And she loved taking care of me, even though I should be the one taking care of her. It was weird. "And there. I'm done!" I clapped in excitement. "Yeah! Let's go through it!" I climbed on the ledge she was standing on. "Are you sure we're ready?" She asked, placing her gamepad back in the sylladex. I nodded and grabbed her hand. "Let's go!" I began walking up the stairs she had built, practically dragging Ryan behind me. Second gate here we come.
