Dave's pov-

Ten minutes have gone by. Finally. We just made it into LOWAS. I'm coming for you John. "River! River!" Ryan was cheering. It was cute. The way she missed her sister. I knew that she wouldn't say it out loud but I knew she cared for her in a way that couldn't be explained to others. It was kinda like the relationship that Rose and I had. Many people thought we were dating by the way we talked to each other. Kinda in a joking, flirting sorta of way. But when we tell them that we are related it gets awkaward for them. I guess that's the way it was for River and Ryan. They were so close that they would seem like a couple. I just knew it.

"Daddy, are we close?" Ryan asked, from my shoulders. "We're getting there." Terezi brushed against me. She spoke in that gravely voice of hers. "Aw, she calls you daddy. How cute!" I rolled my eyes. "Grow up." I bumbed into her. "It is quite cute though David." Kanaya said, smiling slightly at me. I shrugged. "Eh." I mumbled out in response. Just becasue she calls daddy, everyone has to make a big deal about it. So what? Little kids do it all the time. Is it just because she isn't my real kid. Again, so what? Rose looked up at me and smirked. "At least he can say that someone finally looks up to him." I rolled my eyes again. "Don't you look up to me?" She chuckled. "I can't help it that you're so tall." I snorted at her terrible joke. "Right, that's the reason."
