Ryan's Pov-

"We're really sorry uncle Dirk." I looked down at my feet. "Yeah, we didn't mean to break Cal's arm." River added. "It's okay." Dirk rubbed the top of our heads. River laughed. "Hey!" I squealed. I patted my hair down. Dirk smirked. "She reminds me of you Dave." Dave laughed. "Yeah." I looked up at my new dads. They looked so happy together. Happier than my parents. No I wouldn't think of that now. I shouldn't think about it ever. I had to think about River and our future with our new dads. But something in my heart told me to think other wise. I ran to Dave and wrapped my arms around him. Tears started streaming down my face. I wailed into Dave. "Huh?"

Dave's Pov-

I was just watching Dirk sew Cal's arm back together when I felt someone run into me. I looked down and seen one of the twins had wrapped her arms around me. River? No, she was wearing the shades. Ryan. She started wailing. "Huh?" I didn't know what to do. "Please don't leave! I don't want to be left alone again!" I dropped down on my knee. "Hey. What are you going on about?" Ryan looked up at me. "I don't want to be left alone. I want someone here for River and me. I don't want to be left alone!" I smiled. "Don't worry. We'll always be here for you." I wrapped my arms around her. "Shoosh. It'll be okay." She continued to cry until her wails turned into sobs and her sobs turned into hiccups. River ran up to her. "Ry? Were you thinking about Mama again?" Ryan pulled away from me to look at her sister. Ryan nodded slowly. "You shouldn't do that. We have parents now. And Mama wouldn't want you to be upset. She said it herself. There was no way she could keep us. She wanted us to be happy. So stop crying. Be happy. Like Mama wanted."

River's Pov-

I looked at my sister through her shades. They couldn't hide what I had seen so many times before. Those eyes. The ones that helped me stay strong when Mama left. The ones that never shed tears. The ones that were crying right now. The ones that were two different colors. I lifted my hands up to her shades and pulled them off. "Please don't cry. It scares me." She sighed. "I know." She wiped her eyes and turned to the adults. "I'm okay now." I would have thought that Ryan would take her shades back to hide her eyes but she didn't. She hated her eyes for some reason. The two colors scared her at times. The left red and the right purple-ish blue. But nobody said anything. And that was something.
