John's Pov-

Dave and I had snuck off to our room early in the morning. We wanted to sleep in the comfort of each others arms for a while. And that's exactly what we did.

The next time I woke up, I didn't bother waking up Dave. He would wake up sooner or later. I quickly went down the hallway to check on the girls. I carefully pushed the door opened. I walked into the room. The blanket that we slept under last night was thrown off the bed. The twin were tangled up together. It was hard to tell where one twin started and the other end. They looked like pretzels. I walked up to the bed. They looked so cute like this. Kinda like me and Jade. Dad had always said we slept weird. I never thought anything of it, but looking at River and Ryan, I understood what he was talking about. God, I miss him. I placed a chaste kiss on both of their foreheads before covering them with the blanket and exiting the room. I closed the door quietly. "Time to make breakfast."

I went into Kurla's room, like I do every morning before heading into the kitchen to make breakfast. Kurla's room was painted a light blue with dog foot prints splattered on everything. She was asleep on her handmade bed. Jade made it just for her. I walked over to her food and water feeder. I opened the food container and poured out a cup full into a separate bowl. I counted out each food piece as I dropped it into the feeder. Kurla had to eat exactly 1000 pieces of food every morning. The pieces were small so it really wasn't that much. I lifted up the water feeder and took it to the sink that was in the corner of her room. I dumped out the old water and put fresh water into it. I placed the water feeder back down next to the food feeder. The water feeder filter out any bacterial that was in the water when Kurla drank it. If anyone came into the house at this moment, they would probably think that we were snobby rich people that spoil their dog. But that wasn't case. Kurla had a hard life before we found her. She was always going into relapse and we had to make sure that she was healthy. After I was done taking care of her, I left her room and headed to the kitchen.

I knew Dave wouldn't eat anything but cooked poptarts. So I grabbed a box of strawberry poptarts and set them on the counter. I don't know if the twins would eat anything. I mean, we had breakfast for dinner. They could tell me if they wanted anything. But I knew Dave would be expecting cooked poptarts. I took out a pan from under the sink and placed it on the stove. I turned on the burner. This is how I made poptarts. Normal people would put them in a toaster, but that's not Dave liked them. When the pan was hot enough, I took out a packet out the box. I opened it up and pulled out the two poptarts. I placed them in the pan. Soon the kitchen smelled like strawberries. When I was getting ready to flip them I heard someone enter the kitchen. "Morning mother." It was Dave. He would joke about this every day. He would say something about my mother like nature. I don't know what made his jokes start, but it didn't bother me. "Morning Dave." I turned away from the stove to find him reaching for the poptart box. I slapped his hand with the spatula. "Ow! What was that for!" I sighed. "I'm making poptarts for you. Keep your paws off the box." I snatched the box off the counter and put them back in the cabinet. "My bad. I didn't know." I rolled my eyes. "I make them for you every morning. How could you not know?" He kissed my forehead. "Sorry. But maybe next time you could just tell me instead of hitting me with that thing." I nodded. "Sure." He smiled. "Alright. I'm gonna go take a shower. I'll see in a bit." He turned away from and left the kitchen. "Don't forget to wash behind your ears." I yelled after him. I heard him chuckle as I finished cooking.

(A/N:  I'm getting really excited about this story for some reason. I don't know why though. I mean this story isn't as big as "Bad timing" or "Washington Boys" but its still good. At least I think so. Alright, question time! What do you guys think of Momma Egbert? Please send your feedback! And I'll see you later. Bye!
