"We've been walking forever! John, I'm tired." Vriska complained. I sighed. I was starting to get there myself. But I couldn't stop. Not right now. I need to find the girls. And then get the hell out of here. "Just rest here, alright. I have to keep looking." I can't stop. I can't. "John, you need to rest. You're stressing out." She grabbed my hand causing me to stop. "Please, just calm down. Sit down and have a breather. Just for a bit." I sighed. "Fine. But only for a bit." I sat down on the ground next to Vriska. I don't know why I agreed. I had to find the girls. I had too. I sighed again and closed my eyes. I was really tired now that I thought about it. I'm just going to rest my eyes. I'm just going to res....
Crap! I feel asleep. I hadn't meant to. I sat up off of the ground. "Vriska?" I looked around for the spider loving girl. She wasn't anywhere around me. "Vriska!" I called out. Vriska popped up from a pipe. "Oh, your awake. I was wondering when you would be up." I stood up. "What were you doing while I was asleep?" She smiled at me. "I was talking to the Salamanders. They are actually pretty cool. Did you know that they..." There was a loud cry somewhere in the distance. "What was that?" I looked over at Vriska. "Ryan!" Another cry could be heard. That was River. "River!" I ran toward the cry, leaving Vriska behind. I was going to go get my little girl.
(A/N: I just love how fatherly John is. It makes me really happy. Anyway, I hope this made your day as much as it made mine. This day four of the 25 days of giving. I missed two days which means that I have to make them up somehow, which also means that you might be getting three chapters on Monday. I hope that makes all you cuttlefishes happy.
