Dave's POV
I was really glad that my half sister was coming to this adoption fair. I didn't really care about Karkat, but it was still nice to have the support. For some reason I was nervous. There were a lot of thoughts running through my head. What if the kids took off my shades? What if they thought I was weird? What if they didn't like John? That one worried me the most. I honestly didn't care what these kids thought of me. I wanted them to like John. And if they didn't, that was a problem
John's POV
I could tell Dave was worried by the way he hung his head. I grabbed his hand and gave it a small squeeze. "You alright, Dave?" He looked up at me through his shades. "What if these kids think it's weird to have two guys as parents?" I giggled slightly. "That's what you're worried about?" He nodded. "Yeah. I mean most of the time when kids get adopted it's by a male and a female. Not a male and a male." I smiled. "Silly Dave. These kids don't care about that." At least I hoped so.
Time jump-15 minutes
"Hey Rose!" I waved at her eagerly. She smiled and waved back. "Morning John. David." I looked at Dave. He didn't say anything but he hated when Rose called him David. "Well what are we waiting for?" I wanted to get this show on the road. Rose smiled. "Karkat." As if on cue Karkat stormed out of Rose's house. "Alright you fuckfaces. Let's get this over with. I'm bone-bulge deep in homework and I have to get this stuff done or else." I laughed. I honestly didn't know what a bone-bulge was but it was pretty funny. "You don't have to Karkat." he nodded vigorously. "Rose is supposed to be helping me. But she is coming along with you two nooksuckers." Dave smirked. "C'mon Karckles. You know you love us." He sighed. "Maybe."
