I waited nervously, playing with a ring on my finger to occupy myself. Today, Shawn was coming back from tour.

He had been gone five months, and I was dying to see him. We had face timed and texted almost every night, but I really needed to see him in person and feel his warm embrace once more.

I heard an announcement go off, signaling Shawn's plane would arrive shortly. When it did, after what felt like hours, the doors opened and many people spilled out of it. But I only had eyes for one.

"(Y/n)!!" I heard him yell. I turned to see him casually walking towards me. He had his toothy smile on and his eyes were bright. It was Shawn.

I ran, and he put down his bags and opened his arms out wide, like in some cheesy romance movie. He laughed as I jumped into his embrace and he spun me round. Once we stopped, he gave me a passionate kiss.

A single tear ran down my face, and he pulled away to wipe it with his thumb. "Aw, babe!! Don't cry, I'm here now!!" He said, chuckling. I smiled, my eyes still glassy. "These are happy tears!! I missed you so, so much!!" I say.

"I missed ya too!!" He says booping my nose and putting me down on the ground. "Come on, I'm dying to get home." He says, grabbing his luggage with one hand, and holding my hand with the other.

And with that, we both walked off in the direction of my car to go home as a reunited couple.
