Little Suprises

I tapped my foot in time to the music that was playing through my earphones. My eyes scanned the crowd, looking for Shawn. I smiled, and saw Shawn waving to me in the distance. I pulled my earphones out, and shoved my phone in my pocket.

Shawn stopped a little way from me and held his arms out wide. I ran towards him and when I reached him, he engulfed me in a giant bear hug, swinging me round and round. This was our little tradition for when we met up.

I laughed when he set me down on solid ground again, and noticed a few people staring at us. Shawn lent down and kissed me gently before grabbing my hand.

"Where are we off too?" I ask him. "It's a surprise!!" He says, smiling down at me. "I hope you'll like it." I chuckle. "If it's anything you've planned, I can almost guarantee it's going to be fantastic."

"Ok, we're almost there. Close your eyes and I'll lead you." Shawn instructs. I frown a little. "Your not going to push me in a fountain or something, are you?" He laughs, a almost like the deep rumble of thunder, only lighter, and much, much happier. "I pinky promise." He says. He leads me a little way until we stop. "Open your eyes." He instructs.

I open my eyes and beam. We're in front of my favorite jewelry shop. He smiles at me and we walk in. Shawn goes to the counter and whispers something to the lady there. She grabs a small package and I see Shawn thank her.

"Happy birthday!!" He says, plopping the package in my hands. "Shawn!! Thank you, but my birthday isn't in months..." I say, giggling. He just smiles, and gestures for me to open the package. Inside are some of the most amazing pieces of jewelry.

A pair of earrings, silver, with little 'S's inside. A ring with my birthstone in the center. Finally, a necklace with a rectangle and our anniversary date written on the front. I put a hand over my mouth, and hug Shawn.

"You like them?" He asks, obviously pleased with himself. "Shawn, I love them!!" I say, and kiss him all over his face. He cups my cheeks in his hands and says, "Well I love you!!" And gives me a sweet, passionate kiss.
