Shawn's Pov

I kicked the table as hard as I could, sending a shooting pain through my foot, but it was nothing compared to the bubbling anger inside my chest that was growing by the second. "(Y/n)! Just listen to what I have to say!" I yelled, but she shook her head, tears spilling from her eyes and rolling down her cheeks. "I saw enough, you don't need to explain anything." She said, her voice breaking at the end. She stormed through the house, with me right behind her, until she reached out shared bedroom, where she slammed the door in my face. I reached down and pulled at the handle, but heard the lock click and knew she had locked me out. "Let me in, (y/n)! We can discuss this reasonably." I said, my anger turning to desperation. I yanked and pulled at the handle, but the only noise I could hear from inside the room was muffled crying.

I must have fallen asleep against the door, because sometime later, I felt it open. I scrambled to my feet to find a very tired and sad looking (y/n). Her eyes that are normally so bright are now puffy and her nose has gone a light pink. I rush up to her and engulf her in my arms, apologizing and sobbing into her shoulder. She doesn't move, she stays stiff and doesn't hold me. I pull away to look her in the eyes. "I'm so, so sorry, (y/n). I love you, I'm sorry." I say, holding her by her shoulders. She shakes her head. "It's too late for that, Shawn. Goodbye." She says, pecking my cheek for one last time before slipping from my grasp and leaving. Once she had gone, I sat down on the couch. I felt numb, as if a piece of my heart had been stolen and now it was crumbling.

One month later

I was in the kitchen of my new hotel. I told Amy a joke and she laughed at me. "Lunch will be served soon, my lady." I said, bowing to her. She laughed again. "You're to cute." She smiled. Just then my phone started to ring. "Won't you answer that, please?" I asked, not bothering to look up from cooking. "Hello, this is Shawn's phone, his girlfriend speaking." I heard her say. I winced a little at the word girlfriend. We weren't official yet, but she seemed to think we were.

"Oh, okay. Uhm...hello?" She said, looking down at the phone. "Who was it?" I asked, curious. She frowned slightly. "Some girl named (y/n), she says she hopes you're happy." Amy replied. I stopped what I was doing, my heart beating twice it's normal speed. Any looked up at me, concerned. I felt the grief of losing her fresh in my heart.  I'm not happy though, I thought, not without her.
