Eternity

"Hey Shawn..." I whispered into his ear. "Yeah, (y/n)?" He answered, turning his head to look at me out of the corner of his eye.

"Why do you love me?" He paused, only to hitch me higher up on his back. We went out on a walk in the park, and I wanted a piggy back ride, so that leads us to my current position.

"(Y/n), I think it's why don't I love you...which is nothing in fact. I love every single detail about you." I rested my head on his shoulder. "Why me, though, why not some super model or a fabulous looking celebrity?" I ask, muffled by his shirt.

"You are the most beautiful girl I've ever, and probably will ever, know, (y/n)." He says. "I love how you never wear a lot of makeup or how your hair is natural, how you can smile in the hardest of times, how you laugh...oh your laugh!! It brightens any room up more than when the lights are on. I love how when you're sad, your lip trembles a little, or how you don't care about what people think about you at all, how you sing in the shower and dance at midnight. How you love going on walks, no matter the weather and how you can make me smile no matter what. How when you fall asleep at night, your hair falls over your face and you breathe deeply and comfortably. But what I love about you most of all, (y/n), is that you don't judge people. You appreciate them for who they are, even if you don't like them. You still accept that they are people, and they are unique."

At this point he stops under a tree, and puts me on my feet. He spins me round to look me in my face and smiles. "The list of reasons go on, I could mention every reason, but we'd be here eternity."

I look at him, shock and happiness cover my face. I pull him forward to kiss him. I wrap my arms round his neck and play with his hair, and he puts his hands firmly on my waist. It feels like my heart is running a marathon when we kiss, even if this is the hundredth time.

I pull away, panting for breath and he pulls me close to his chest, so I smell his familiar scent and hear his heart beating next to me.

"I don't care." I say, going back to what he said before we kissed. "As long as I can spend eternity with you."
