Heartache

I ran into my home, up the stairs and into my room. I had to get as far away from his as possible.

I had gone over to my newly ex boyfriend's house, just as a surprise visit, only to find him kissing a girl who's always hated me.

Obviously, I just went home, heartbroken. Ryan, my ex, had been really special, we had been together six months.

As I got to my room, I closed the door and slid down the side of it. Reality only started to sink in now. I held a hand over my mouth, trying to stop the sobs that we're now escaping me.

I gave up, and let myself cry. All I wanted was someone to hold me, comfort me. I grabbed my phone, and quickly phoned Shawn.

"Hey, (y/n), what's up? It's pretty late ya know!!" He said cheerily. "Can you come over..." I asked in a raspy voice.

I heard the unlocked door downstairs open, and Shawn jogging up the stairs. When he got to my room, he knocked quietly and walked in.

I was sitting in a ball in my bed. I had managed to stop crying so much, but seeing him made me start to bawl my eyes out once more.

He didn't say anything, just came and sat next to me and hugged my body close to him. I cried into his chest s he rubbed circles on my back and running his hand through my hair, every so often.

When I managed to calm myself, I croaked out: "Ryan, he and...he was cheating on me." I saw Shawn frown. "Don't worry, he doesn't realize how big of a mistake he's made. You deserve someone so much better than him."

I leaned up to look at Shawn. He was staring at me, his face close to mine. I didn't realize I had been leaning in till I felt his minty breath in my face.

"I think I've already found someone." I whispered, before closing the space between us and pressing my lips to his.
It felt like fireworks exploding in my stomach, it felt completely different to kissing Ryan. It felt a hundred times better.
