Chapter 26

"You!!" Sawada suddenly barged in. He attacked Odagiri and grabbed his collar and pushed him against the wall.

"Shin!" Kuma was trying to grab his collar from behind but he was too late. A fist landed on Odagiri's face dropped him to the ground. He grinned as he touched his bleeding lips.

"Stop!" Odagiri shouted!

Sawada was about to attack him one more time but then suddenly he was stunned by a badge Odagiri rose on his hand.

"I'm a cop!! I'm a cop!!"

"Eeeehhhh...????" Everybody was suddenly stunned in shock. Their eyes like went wider in unison.

"Odagiri..." Yankumi couldn't believe what she heard.

"You... You... Why didn't you tell me before??" Asked Yankumi.

"I can't! Okay! I can't, they all might found out. Oh well now they do!" He grinned as he pointed a bunch of now tied up guys under piles of boxes on the corner. Yes, Kuma and Noda managed to tied them up, altogether. They stood proudly over their body. Kuma clapped his hand like he was trying to get some dust rid out of his palms. He was smiling. Noda was holding one of the gang members who was trying to escape, good thing this guy's body is way much shorter than him.

Sawada couldn't say a word. He kept glaring at everybody in confusion. He frowned and clutched his teeth. He couldn't understand what was going on. His mind was all went fuzzy, he shook his head several times.

His eyes set straight to Odagiri Ryu, a guy he hardly knew but aware that he was one of Yankumi's former students from one of the schools she had been teaching in. Odagiri felt the glare but didn't say a word. He was cornered and almost panic himself. He could never think that he'd reveal his true identity that soon. Especially in front of Yankumi. He thought he blew up everything.

Luckily Yankumi seemed understood. Her sudden smile comforted him. However Odagiri felt a sudden guilt to Kuma who used to help her back in High School.

"Kuma, sorry I couldn't tell you earlier," he said to Kuma.

"It's okay, I understand it's your job." Replied Kuma.

"I don't get it..." A weak snap in a helpless voice finally came out from Sawada. He sighed as he left everybody, strolled out and walked away.

"Shin..." Kuma stunned. Noda was about to follow him but he was stopped by Odagiri. He gave a small nod like a code to Noda. Noda responded, he nodded back, let Yankumi instead following him.

"Sawada!" Yankumi chased him from behind.

Sawada walked faster and faster, he let his anger and confusion grow and filled all over his chest. It seems like it was about to blow up. The warmth feeling and the fuzzy mind were creeping all over him inside.

Yankumi kept following him from behind. Once in a while she shouted and shouted calling his last name in desperation, but it seemed that Sawada was ignoring her call and kept walking faster and faster.
Then finally...

"Shin!!! God!!"

Sawada stopped. He looked back to the woman following him. He widened his eyes in disbelieve. This woman, she called his name, for the first time, in the first name! Shin!
His eyes set straight to the woman whose panting, catching up some breath. She bent down on her knees, breathing hard in desperation and anger. She looked at him in the eyes, straight to the eyes. She narrowed her eyes as she was not afraid anymore. Sawada Shin in front of him, who now is a tall sturdy man with sharp eyes and thick eyebrows was her former student anyway.

As she looked at his eyes, she could see that his student now is in deep desperation.

"Yankumi..." he suddenly voiced out. He couldn't hide his feelings no more. He even almost choked. This was his first time hearing her calling him as 'Shin'.

"Shin..." Then she widened her ayes as she realized what just she said... Cleared her throat and felt a bit of embarrassment she repeated her word.

"Sawada..."

"Yankumi, please help me, explain this whole thing... Help me to understand, this is too complicated."

"Eeehhh...? What you don't understand Sawada?" Asked Yankumi. Her eyes now fixed to her student who now couldn't hide his restlessness.

"This whole thing!" He said it loud, he was hiding his face from Yankumi. He suddenly felt his chest went heavier and heavier, his voice was a bit trembling as he continued.

"Why I've got to experience all these things. It was all my faults since the beginning. Everyone was in this trouble because of me. If just I didn't follow my selfish unreasonable dream that time... They wouldn't.."

"Yamero! Don't say that! Don't you ever say that!" Shouted Yankumi suddenly. Her untied hair was blown to her side, she folded her hand as she approached her desperate student.

"Please, Onegai! Everybody was trying to help," Yankumi continued.

"Why, couldn't you remember? What I said back then? When you refused everyone to help you? When you wanted to help you sister back in high school? Don't you remember Sawada??" Yankumi was getting closer.

Sawada knelt down. He hid his face under his arms. He was in that position for quite a while. Yankumi slowly approached him, she rose her hand and tried to touch Sawada's shoulder. Thump! Her heart beat faster,
"He's crying..." She thought...
She couldn't believe the scenery in front of her. She tried to gathered all her strength to one more time touching his student's shoulder.
Then she finally did it... Her heart felt calmer as she spoke confidently...

"It's okay to be weak, it's okay to show it, your weaknesses. Don't hold on everything to yourself. Everyone's been trying to help! They're longing for their old friend Sawada Shin... They're all missing you..."

Suddenly Sawada rose as Yankumi let her hand go from him. He stood up, and glared at her, trying to get himself together, he grinned at her and whispered.

"Arigato... Yankumi..."
