Days went by, and the digidestined has been going through quite an adventure, running away from bad digimons that were being controlled by the black gears and help rescuing digimons at the same time. When Tai and Matt argue whether they should climb Infinity Mountain to get a better view of their surrounding. The group decided it was best to wait another day since they were losing daylight. Everyone went inside the cave for to rest and sleep for the night.

Jane woken from her slumber having trouble falling asleep. She looked around and notice everyone was still sound asleep. She looked towards the entrance of the cave and saw Tai and Agumon sitting by the entrance. She let out a sad sigh as she stood up and walked towards Tai. Tai heard footsteps approaching and looked back and smiled as he saw Jane.

"Hey, its still early. What are you doing up?"

"I couldn't sleep. What time is it?"

Tai frown and looked outside towards the sky and saw it wasn't too dark and wasn't too light either.

"I'm guessing its probably around 5"

He said as he looked back to her. Jane nodded and took a step forward outside. She looked up to a nearby tall tree and saw Renamon laying down on a branch.

"She's been watching over the entrance of the cave through the whole night. Even when everyone was taking shifts for to be on the lookout"

Jane looked and was surprise to see Tai no longer sitting down on the ground but was standing right behind her. Jane closed her eyes and nodded.

"I'm going for a walk"

She stated as she began walking towards the forest. Tai gasp.

"Uh hey....hold on"

Tai said as he quickly ran and catch up. As Jane continue to walk ahead, she was lost in thought.

'I need to go back home. I have been gone for days and mother is going to be mad. She didn't even wanted me going to the camp in the first place but I kept on insisting and now look at where I'm at, I'm lost with a group in a digital world. Mother is going to have my head and just imagine how she will react when I bring Renamon home.'

She thought sadly as she came to a stop and looked up towards a tree with tears threatening to fall.

"I just want to go home"

She said softly as tears trailed down her face. Just then Tai and Agumon catched up to Jane, Renamon was hoping up the trees.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

He asked as he placed his hand on her shoulder. Jane sadly turned around to face him, Tai felt his heart drop to see his secret crush in tears. Jane wiped away her tears.

"I want to go home"

"I know you do. We all do but right now we all need to stick together and not going running around"

He said in comfort. Jane sadly nodded as she looked towards the ground. Tai frown in concern for his crush.

'How can I help her?'

He thought as he looked up at her and a quick idea came to his mind. Tai gently placed both his hands on either side of Jane's shoulder and gently pushed her against the tree. Jane looked up at Tai in surprise and blushed as he came closer to her face.

'What is he doing?'

She thought.

'I hope she can forgive me for doing this'

He thought as he gently grabbed Jane's face and pressed his lips to hers, closing his eyes. It was heaven for Tai. Jane's mouth tasted like strawberry and sweets and it tasted good. Tai wanted more but he didn't want to push Jane. He wasn't even sure if Jane wanted this but he was overcome by having to comfort his crush so at that moment he didn't care. It'll sink in later. Meanwhile Jane was shocked when Tai pressed his lips against her. She slowly closed her eyes and enjoyed the feeling. Tai tasted like spice and cinnamon. The shock quickly wore off and Jane let Tai kiss her.

Tai felt Jane not resisting to him so he deepened the kiss. He ran his tongue along Jane's lips begging for entrance. Jane opened her mouth for Tai's tongue to enter. He pushed Jane more harder into the tree. They were both in a tongue war trying to win for dominance. Since Jane didn't know how to kiss, Tai won the tongue war. Jane was starting to understand how to kiss so she started kissing Tai back. After a while they both needed air so they parted their lips. They were both flushed after that as they opened their eyes and gazed at each other. Jane was the first to say something.

"Wow. So that's how you kiss?"

"Yeah."

Tai needed to tell Jane how he feels about her or he was gonna chicken out and lose his courage to confess. Jane looked and Tai and saw he was debating something inside his mind.

"Tai"

She said gently breaking him out of his train of thoughts. Tai looked up at her.

"I feel better now"

She said softly. Tai blushed and laughed nervously scratching the back of his head as he pulled away from her.

"Um yeah that's all that matters"

He said. Jane sense he wanted to tell her something.

"You wanted to say something?"

She asked. Tai looked at her nervously as he stuffed his hands in his pocket shorts and kicked a few pebbles on the ground.

"Um yes, I mean no... I mean we should be getting back to the others"

He stated. A flash of hurt went through Jane's eyes.

"Oh..... Well okay then"

She said gently as she put on a bright smile. On the inside Jane was hurt because she actually have a crush on Tai and after the kiss that just happen, she thought he was actually going to confess but he was more concern about the others. Tai and Jane walked side by side in silence with Agumon and Renamon following close behind them. Tai was mentally beating himself up.

'What's wrong with me? I had my chance and I blew it. Maybe someday I'll tell her just not right now'

He thought.
