The news of Jane and Matt dating spread inside the school. Practically half of the girls in the school were jealous of Jane dating a guy like Matt. Tai wasn't happy about the news even though he knew it was bound to happen but still it did get to him a lot harder than expected.

"How about tonight I take you out for a special dinner, at one of the most extravagant restaurant in all of Japan?"

Matt said to Jane who had her back against the lockers and Matt was leaning towards her with one arm above her head. Jane blushed.

"That sounds really nice Matt, but can't we just do something simple"

"But your the most important girl to me and besides you deserve the best"

"I know and I thank you for that but there is a time for to go out to fancy places and a time to go out to simple places"

"Okay then. You pick a place of your choice"

Matt said as he grabbed Jane's hand lifting it up to his face and gave it a soft kiss to the back of her hand causing her to blush. Not too far away, Tai was staring at them with envy.

'Stupid Matt, he doesn't he even know how to handle a girl like Jane. I can do way better, I know what makes her happy'

He thought as he dig into his lunch. Izzy was sitting by Tai and notice Tai's face expression towards Jane and Matt and his poor food was at the receiving end at Tai's anger.

"Hey Tai are you gonna eat that?"

Izzy asked. Tai frown and looked down at his food and handed it to Izzy.

"Choke on it"

He said crossing his arms over his chest but his eyes will still wander to the hallways where Jane and Matt were. Izzy could obviously see the jealousy Tai has on Matt.

"Why don't you just tell her instead of beating yourself up over it"

Izzy suggested.

"What are you talking about?"

"Its obvious that you're jealous"

"I'm not jealous"

"Yeah. Just keep telling yourself that.. Oh and by the way Matt and Jane just left"

Tai's eyes open wide and looked up around the cafeteria to see where they could have gone. Tai immediately stood up. Izzy frown.

"Where are you going?"

"To my locker"

Tai said with a quick response as he went off and search for Matt and Jane in the hallways.

'Come on they have to be here somewhere'

He thought worriedly. As he turn the corner he almost crashed into Matt who had his arm around Jane's waist. Matt and Jane look to Tai in surprise.

"Hey what's the rush?"

Matt said with a raised eyebrow. Tai blushed and scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Um nothing. So what's going on?"

He asked trying to change the subject.

"Well Matt is taking me out to see a movie this Saturday"

Jane said with a smile, Tai face slowly went sad when he notice that her eyes were mostly on Matt.

"That's sweet. Can I come?"

Tai asked with a fake smile. Matt frown.

"Its actually a date, just only between me and Jane"

"Hey don't worry its a free country, you won't even know I'm there"

Tai said with a grin.

*Movie*

Tai was laughing and eating popcorn at the funny scenes it shows on the big screen. Matt and Jane weren't enjoying themselves at all because apparently Tai decided to sit in between Jane and Matt who wanted to spend time together cuddling. After the movie was done, Tai let out a stretched cracking his back and letting his shirt go up a little showing off his muscular stomach to Jane who tried not to look. Matt frown when he saw that action and pushed Tai.

"Hey what's your problem?"

Tai said with a glare.

"Put your shirt down and let's get going"

He said annoyed as he gently grabbed hold of Jane's hand intertwining their fingers together.

"That was a good movie. So where are we going to next?"

Tai asked looking to Matt and Jane.

"You are not going anywhere with us. Tai this was suppose to be mine and Jane's date and your ruining it"

Jane gently placed a hand on Matt's shoulder.

"Hey its okay, there's always next time"

She said trying to calm Matt down and surprisingly it did.

"Yeah, okay you're right"

Matt said looking to Jane with a loving smile. Tai frown at the interaction and growled when Matt gave Jane a kiss on the cheek and the worst part was that Jane kept her eyes on Matt instead of giving Tai a small glance.

"So, how about I start taking Jane home, it is getting pretty late"

Tai said breaking the two apart. Jane and Matt look to Tai.

"No worries I can take her"

Matt insisted.

"Matt you live far away, besides won't your Dad get worried that you are out late"

Tai said as he grabbed Jane's arm pulling her away.

"My Dad works late, he won't mind"

Matt said with a frown pulling Jane's other arm.

"Are you sure?"

Tai said pulling Jane once more.

"Yes. I'm sure. Tai let go"

"No you let go"

"I'm her date Tai"

"And I'm her best friend"

They started to yell at each other until Jane yelled breaking them apart.

"Enough of this. Tai you take me home and Matt I'll call you when I get home"

Tai smirk in victory and Matt frown at him.

"And wipe that smirk off your face"

Jane said looking to Tai and pulled her arm away from him and gave Matt a kiss on the lips.

"I'll talk to you real soon"

"Yeah, be safe"

"Will do"

Tai started walking beside Jane leaving Matt alone to walk another direction. Jane stopped and turn around to face Tai pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Tai"

She said letting out a sigh with her eyes closed. She then immediately opened her eyes when she was pulled in by arms wrapped around her waist by Tai. Tai leaned forward and press his lips against hers.
