Ever since Tai saw how close Matt was trying to get to Jane, he decided to stay by her at all cost. Jane knew Tai's game but decided not to bother with it because after all Tai was a very stubborn and hard headed person but with a great heart. One day, Jane was at the cafeteria sitting down at a table by herself as she began to eat her lunch but stop when she saw a group of girls walking towards her way.

"Hey Jane"

The leader of the group said. Jane put her food down and looked at them.

"Yes"

"We heard news that they put you as a head leader for the cheerleader"

"Oh really, well then I guess all my hard work finally paid off"

One of the girls rolled her eyes.

"No stupid, Hannah was meant to be head leader not you"

"I'm sorry but..."

"No your not, not yet any way"

She said as the girls began to circle around Jane who was still sitting down looking at them in confusion. She then stood up. The whole cafeteria got silent.

"What's your problem?"

Jane asked with a frown.

"We want you to step down from being cheerleader"

"I am not going to do that, you just need to try hard enough. The only things you girls do is stand there and pose, you all just like to wear the cheerleading outfit because it gives you all an excuse to dress like a slut"

"What did you just say!?"

One of the girls shouted slamming their hands on the table.

"Okay, now break it up!!"

A voice shouted as someone broke through the circle, Jane turn and was surprise to see Tai. Jane glared at him.

"What do you think you're doing?"

She asked heatedly.

"I'm defending you what do you think I'm doing?"

He said as he stood in front of Jane with his back to her. Tai then look to the girls.

"You girls need to leave. Now"

He stated firmly. The girls remained in place and laugh.

"What's a matter Jane, you can't stand up to a fight, so you got you're boyfriend to do it for you"

Jane glared at them and place a hand on Tai's shoulder causing him to look back.

"Tai I am asking you to not get involved"

"And I really wish I was the kind of person who could do that"

The girls just scoffs and began to walk away. Tai then turn to Jane with a smile.

"See"

"You didn't need to do that"

"I know but I just wanted to be your knight and shining armor"

"And you always will be"

She said gently with a smile. The cafeteria was then back to making noises. The weekends were now here, Tai decided to take Jane out for the movies.

"So what do you want to watch?"

He asked as they scanned the movie posters to see what's on.

"How about the Incredibles 2?"

She suggested. Tai sweatdropped.

"Seriously?"

"Why not?"

"I was actually hoping for you to pick a scary movie for that way, I can hold you when you're scared"

He said gently nudging Jane. Jane raised an eyebrow at him with a smirk.

"Oh please I'm more scarier than anything than these normal people can come up with"

Tai laugh as he bought the tickets and Jane practically ordered half of the whole snack food court. Tai hold the door opened for Jane as he helped carry half of the things.

"You sure do know how to fill it up"

He said with a laugh as they went to find some seats.

"Hey, there is practically no fat from below my neck"

She said with a grin as they sat on the back. Once the movie was over, it was warm inside the theaters but once they stepped out, Jane shivered at the cold since she didn't bring a sweater. Tai notice and quickly took off his jacket and handed it to Jane, she smiled at the gesture and slipped on the jacket. She stuffed her hand inside the pocket and frown when she felt a piece of paper, she took it out to see her name on it saying.

"Jane Bailey did it"

Jane cleared up her throat, looking at Tai waving the paper in her hand.

"And what is this?"

Tai smiled at her.

"I always have a note in my pocket that says "Jane Bailey did it" just in case I'm murdered in battle because I don't want you to marry anyone"

"So you would rather I rot in prison?"

She asked as they continued to walk back home. Tai laugh.

"Pretty much yeah"

Jane then laugh shaking her head.

"You are something else"

All too soon, they arrive to Jane's apartment, they were standing by the door.

"Thanks for the day out"

"No problem. Thanks for hanging out with me"

He said as he leaned in close wrapping his arms around her waist. Jane smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck and closed the distance between them. The kiss was short but very hot, Jane pulled away much to Tai's protest.

"Okay, that's enough kisses for tonight"

"Its never enough when its from you"

He said gently.

'And I really do mean that Jane'

Tai thought.

'If only you really mean that Tai'

Jane thought sadly and simply giggled looking at him with her eyes shining.

"So any plans for tomorrow?"

Tai let out a sigh and scratched the back of his head.

"Well me and the others have plan to go to the park for a picnic. You are more than welcome to come, I'm pretty sure Matt won't mind"

He said with a slight annoyance. Jane just rolled her eyes and nodded.

"Good night"

She said softly opening the door.

"Goodnight"

Tai said just as gently. Once the door closed, he turn around and headed back home. Little did they know, every action that they do together was actually love and the love for each other was growing, it was only a matter of time before one breaks first to confess.
