Ah Si was skipping through the halls of the mansion they were renting, merrily calling out to his friends. Things between Xia and Mei Zuo were getting heated when Xia heard her brother screaming through the hallways. Her eyes widened she pushed Mei Zuo away from her.

"Ahia's coming. Hide!" She said as she pushed him off the bed and straightened her clothing just in time as her brother came in.

"Meimei, meimei!" He called loudly and Xia stood up from the bed so he wouldn't get close enough to see Mei Zuo.

"Ahia! What are you doing being so loud this time of night." She said as she started pushing him out the door immediately. He turned around to get a better look at his sister.

"Hey, stop pushing. I just want to offer you some grilled squid." He said as he handed her a stick. She sighed.

"I'll be right down." She said and he smiled widely at her before kissing her on the forehead and leaving to go wake the others. Ah Si could've sworn he saw men's slippers in his sister's bedroom but thought nothing of it as he woke everyone else up. Xia sighed as she closed the door after her brother left and leaned against it.

"Is he gone?" Mei Zuo peaked from his position on the floor and Xia laughed at his foolishness before walking over to him.

"Come on. Let's go downstairs." She said with a smile as she pulled him up from the floor. She then dragged him out her bedroom, the both of them laughing at what just happened when the same time she and Mei Zuo stepped out of her door, Lei walked into the hallway and saw. He stopped and walked behind a wall and looked at them. Mei Zuo then pulled her in for one more kiss and she complied before stepping away and grinning at him. Mei Zuo offered his arm to Xia, something Lei was used to doing, and she took it before they walked downstairs together.

Lei couldn't understand what he was feeling. Surely, it wasn't jealousy?

They all sat around a table, Xia beside Mei Zuo when Ah Si came in holding a bucket.

"Hey. Look. Do you know what this is?" He asked everyone present.

"It's just a bucket." One of the girls said.

"I mean, what's inside it?" Ah Si asked them again.

"Is it squid?" Another girl supplied.

"No. It's the squid that I caught." He bragged and Xia laughed.

"Does that mean you only caught one squid?" Xia innocently asked and Ah Si looked at her with a stern expression.

"Ah Si, have you been fishing for squid all night?" Mei Zuo asked his friend.

"Yes. It's so much fun." Ah Si bragged, showing his friends and sister the pail.

"Let's never hang out with him again, okay?" Xi Men told Mei Zuo and Xia as she laughed. Ah Si's attention was then brought to the slippers Mei Zuo was wearing. Why did those look so familiar to him? Like he was supposed to remember but forgot? Xia's attention was then brought to the sound of the piano playing and she immediately knew it was Lei. She stood up to join him but not before giving Mei Zuo an unnoticeable squeeze on the shoulder as she passed.
