Chapter 15

That night, Xia was forced to have dinner with her Achi and Shan Cai. She had to admit, she was disappointed in Shan Cai for kissing Lei when her Ahia had brought her to a destination vacation as a date but she couldn't loathe the girl, Hua Ze Lei was easy to love once you get passed his walls. She sat at the dining table with Shan Cai in front of her and her older sister at her right side. They were currently waiting for her Ahia. Mr. Liu entered the room.

"Ah Si said he has an important report to finish for school, so he went out." He told them once he approached.

"Did I hear correctly? He isn't going to eat with me? He's going to get a beating when he gets home." Zhuang said out loud.

"You may leave." She addressed Mr. Liu.

"Achi, you know how Ahia is. You have to stop beating him up, I think that's what's caused the brain damage." Xia joked to her older sister and she just smiled.

"It's a good thing my baby sister is nothing like her older brother. Isn't that right, Princess? Shan Cai, I told you about Ah Si getting into fights earlier but never mentioned anything about Xia. She was the perfect child growing up, good grades, good manners and most of all, no boyfriends, even until now." Zhuang happily said. Xia's eyes went to Shan Cai who looked like she was about to speak up but Xia softly shook her head and Shan Cai understood that Xia hadn't gotten around to telling her older sister about her and Mei Zuo.

"Anyway, girls, drink with me." Zhuang said as she raised her glass which Xia immediately copied. Shan Cai looked like she was about to protest though but changed her mind last minute.

"Okay. I'll drink a little bit." She consented.

"Just this glass. Come on." Zhuang offered and the three clinked their glasses before drinking. Xia's and Zhuang's eyes widened when they saw Shan Cai down it all in one gulp.

"Aaand she's drunk." Xia narrated. Shan Cai suddenly started speaking.

"Miss Zhuang, Xia. There's something I want to tell you guys."

"Go ahead." Zhuang allowed.

"Actually, not long ago, Dao Ming Si asked me out. I did something very terrible. I hurt him and you, Xia. I caused both of you to turn against Hua Ze Lei. It's fine that he's angry with me. It's my own fault. I'm the one to blame. That's why, I feel really terrible that I'm sitting here." Shan Cai confessed.

"But Shan Cai, what happened between Lei and I wasn't your fault, it happened before you guys even kissed." Xia confessed.

"Hua Ze Lei?" Zhuang asked and Shan Cai nodded.

"I really—" Shan Cai murmured.

"Hey. Speak up. I can't hear you." Zhuang ordered.

"I really don't want to see Dao Ming Si sad and hurt. And I betrayed Xia by kissing Hua Ze Lei when I knew she was in love with him. A person like me is no good to begin with." Shan Cai revealed before passing out. Zhuang was poking her to see if she was still alive while Ah Si arrived and sat down beside Xia.

"That stupid girl. She didn't learn her lesson after getting drunk last time." Ah Si was looking at Shan Cai.

"Ah Si. Is she your girlfriend?" Zhuang asked him and Xia smiled, looking at him.
