Chapter 33

Xia watched as her brother retracted back to his old ways of bullying others. He treated her the same, with love and softness in his eyes and actions but as soon as other people were added to the equation, he became cold, cruel and heartless.

The first incident happened a few days after Shan Cai disappeared. According to Mei Zuo, they were asking him if he knew what happened to Shan Cai and where she was. Apparently, Lei asked if it had something to do with what happened to Qinghe and Xiao You's families and something flashed in Ah Si's eyes. Qinghe grilled him about it and that was when Xia had arrived on the scene.

FLASHBACK:

"What did Shan Cai sacrifice?" Xia was walking towards the group and she heard Qinghe ask Xia walked faster, knowing where this was going.

"Where exactly is she? Why can't you protect her?" Qinghe continued before Ah Si lost it and grabbed him.

"I said shut up! Don't you get that!" He screamed at Qinghe.

"Ah Si." Xi Men and Mei Zuo warned. Luckily, Xia got there just in time.

"Ahia. Let him go and walk away." She said and Ah Si angrily shoved Qinghe back and walked away from the group.

"Did you see the look on Ah Si's face? It's the same as before." Mei Zuo solemnly stated.

"The old Ah Si is back again." Xi Men declared as they all watched him walk away.

END FLASHBACK

She was currently walking with Xi Men to meet with the rest of the guys to talk about how they would deal with her brother and his mood when they came across Qinghe and Li Zhen.

"Xi Men, bro! Princess!" Qinghe greeted as he stepped in front of Xia and Xi Men.

"Who's your bro?" Xi Men moodily asked him and Xia elbowed him in the rib.

"You are. We're so close already." Qinghe answered.

"Xixi, be nice. Hello, Qinghe. Hello, Li Zhen." She greeted them with a smile and Li Zhen waved.

"Hello, Princess. Hey, do you guys have any news from Shan Cai?" Qinghe asked.

"We don't know where she is." Xia sadly stated.

"So, she didn't contact you either?" Xi Men asked the both of them and they shook their heads.

"What about Dao Ming Si? Did he try to find her?" Li Zhen asked.

"I'm more worried about my brother as each day passes." Xia mysteriously said but Qinghe and Li Zhen didn't understand.

"Should I really confess to him?" They all heard a female voice ask.

"Go if you like him..." Two more voices encouraged. The four turned to see two girls encouraging one friend to confess to Dao Ming Si.

"This is not going to end well. Let's hope she doesn't mention Shan Cai's name." Xia said as they watched as Ah Si approached and the girl step in front of him.

"Dao Ming Si. I made this cake myself for you. I hope you'll accept it." The girl said and they all watched as he took the cake she offered.

"Actually, I started liking you a long time ago. I spent all night making this. If Dong Shan Cai didn't keep bothering you, I would have already—" As soon as Xia heard the taboo name, she moved to step forward but it was already too late as Ah Si slammed the cake on the girl's face before walking away without remorse.
