Chapter 29

Xia entered the library and saw Lei, Xi Men and Mei Zuo sitting and thinking about what they could do to help their friend.

"Ah Si's situation seems even worse than before. Should we try to understand it more?" Xi Men asked as Xia sat down beside Lei on the couch, she sleepily laid her head on his shoulder.

"Understand what? Isn't He Yuan Zi the fiancée Ah Si's mom found to make Shan Cai stay away from Ah Si after she met her?" Mei Zuo clarified.

"What kind of girl is He Yuan Zi?" Xi Men wondered and Mei Zuo suddenly got an idea.

"This is what we'll do. After submitting our reports tomorrow, let's deal with He Yuan Zi. Then she wouldn't bother Ah Si. Then Ah Si and Shan Cai won't have anything to worry about. Lei, what do you think?" Mei Zuo summarized and asked Lei his thoughts as he had already seen Xi Men nod his head in agreement.

"What do you mean?" Lei asked.

"You have to participate too." Mei Zuo tols him.

"This si Ah Si's business. We'd only complicate things if we get ourselves involved." Lei told them.

"Complicating things is precisely what we want to do." Xi Men stated and then turned to Xia.

"Princess, are you okay with Mei Zuo going out with Xiao Zi and I tomorrow?" He teasingly asked.

"Do what you guys have to. I just want my Ahia happy." She sleepily answered and Mei Zuo noticed this. He approached where she sat with her head in Lei's shoulders and sat beside her, transferring her head from Lei's shoulder to his lap.

"Hey, what's wrong? You seem tired." Mei Zuo asked her in a low voice.

"I don't know. I guess the drama with Ahia took a lot out of me." She said as she fought back a yawn. Mei Zuo side as he moved the hair away from her face and bent down to kiss her forehead. Lei watched his two friends have a private moment. He knew he wasn't supposed to but he could picture himself as the one being in Mei Zuo's shoes, taking care of Xia.

"Good night, Zuo." Xia said as she finally succumbed to slumber.

"Good night, Princess."

The next day, Xia found herself craving milk tea. More specifically, the Red Royale Peach drink that Talent's Tea Shop served. After submitting her project, she made her way to the mall where she knew Shan Cai and Xiao You were working. She entered the shop and saw both of them behind the counter.

"Dao Ming Xia!" Xiao You called out once she saw the girl. Xia smiled at her.

"Hello, Xiao You. Hello, Shan Cai." Xiao You grinned, not expecting Xia to remember her while Shan Cai gave her half a smile, thinking she was here on behalf of her brother. Xia looked at Shan Cai and immediately knew what she was thinking.

"Don't worry, Shan Cai. I'm not here to talk to you about my brother or anything. I was just really craving your Red Royale Peach tea." She said as she looked at the display of cakes and pastries to see if she wanted anything else apart from the drink. Shan Cai lightened up and gave her a soft smile as she turned to start preparing the drink.
